79. Opal JAMES. Born on 4 Nov 1911 in Carroll County, Tennessee. At the age of 90, Opal died in Bruceton, Carroll County, Tennessee on 13 Mar 2002. Buried on 15 Mar 2002 in Sellers Hill Cemetery, Clarksburg, Carroll County, Tennessee.

Obituary: Ms. Opal Crum, 90, of Cedar Grove, Tennessee died Wednesday, March 13, 2002 at the Life Care Center in Bruceton. Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, March 15, 2002 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Dilday Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Sellers Hill Cemetery. Brother Billy Ringold will officiate the services. Ms. Crum was born November 4, 1911 to the late James Henry and Josie A. Tosh James in Carroll County. She was a member of the Hickory Plains Church of Christ and a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband, B Crum, who died November 22, 1962, a brother, Homer James and a sister, Mable Huey White. She is survived by two sons, Eugene (Kay) Crum of Cedar Grove, TN and James (Pauline) Crum of Huntingdon, TN; two daughters, Robbie (Billy) Darnall and Patsy (Billy) Smith all of Huntingdon, TN. She also leaves seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. Dilday Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Brother Billy Ringold officiated. Burial followed at Sellers Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers who served were Steve Abell, Mike Abell, Mark Abell, Brian Crum, David Crum and Gary Collins. Mrs. Crum, the daughter of the late James Henry and Josie A. Tosh James, was born November 4, 1911, in Carroll County. She was a member of the Hickory Plains Church of Christ and a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband, B. Crum, who died November 22, 1962; a brother, Homer James; and a sister, Mable Huey White. In 1937 when Opal was 25, she married Homer B. CRUM, son of William Elihugh CRUM (1874-1920) & Lauena S. SMITH (1881-1966), in Carroll County, Tennessee. Born in 1905. At the age of 57, Homer B. died in Carroll County, Tennessee on 22 Nov 1962. Buried in Nov 1962 in Sellers Hill Cemetery, Clarksburg, Carroll County, Tennessee. Alias/AKA: "B".

They had the following children:
i. Robbie Sue. Born on 7 Sep 1938. Resided in Huntingdon, Carroll County, Tennessee in Mar 2002.

Robbie Sue married Billy DARNALL.

ii. Patsy Lou. Born on 24 May 1941. Resided in Huntingdon, Carroll County, Tennessee in Mar 2002.

Patsy Lou married Billy SMITH.

iii. Larry Eugene. Born on 8 Nov 1942.

iv. James Homer. Born on 11 Nov 1943.
