The "Old Belew House" at Clarksburg

This old house brings back many memories to the
teenagers of the 1960s.  The house was the home
of Sebern Johnson Belew and wife, Lucinda Laws.  It was
located about one mile west of Clarksburg on
the north side of the Milan Road just prior to going into
Roans Creek Bottom.  The house was boarded up and
left to its devices for a long time.  It gathered a reputation
as being haunted. The Reed family (Marvin Reed) who lived
across the road reported seeing unexplained lights going through
the house.
