Obituary: Mrs. Larcena Carnal, aged 68 years, widow of the late Monroe Carnal, died at her home near Clarksburg Monday morning of this week and was buried Tuesday at Parker's Crossroads, this county. Mrs. Carnal was a Parker, a sister to late Mrs. Evelyn Pearson and a most excellent lady. On 23 Mar 1867 when Larcena E. was 26, she married Monroe CARNAL, son of Joshua CARNAL (1808-1850) & Sarah DUNN (1808-1885), in Carroll County, Tennessee. Born on 10 Nov 1831 in North Carolina. At the age of 61, Monroe died on 3 Mar 1893. Buried in 1893 in Parkers Crossroads Cemetery, Henderson County, Tennessee. They had the following children:
45. Ruth Eveline PARKER. Born on 1 May 1841 in Carroll County, Tennessee. At the age of 66, Ruth Eveline died in Henderson County, Tennessee on 5 Jan 1908. Buried in Jan 1908 in Parkers Crossroads Cemetery, Parkers Crossroads, Henderson County, Tennessee. Resided in 17th District, Henderson County, Tennessee in 1870. On 7 Jan 1865 when Ruth Eveline was 23, she married John PEARSON, son of Shaderick PEARSON, Senior (1809-1873) & Betsy COX (1811-1845), in Carroll County, Tennessee. Born on 7 May 1834 in Anson County, North Carolina. At the age of 66, John died in Henderson County, Tennessee on 8 Sep 1900. Buried in Sep 1900 in Parkers Crossroads Cemetery, Parkers Crossroads, Henderson County, Tennessee. Resided in 13th District, Carroll County, Tennessee in 1850. Resided in 9th District, Henderson County, Tennessee in 1860. Resided in 17th District, Henderson County, Tennessee in 1870. Autobiography: John Pearson, a prosperous farmer and old resident of the Tenth District of Henderson County, Tennessee, was born in 1834, in Anson County, N.C., a son of Shadrach and Betsy (Cox) Pearson, both natives of North Carolina. The father was born about 1810, was a farmer by occupation. After his marriage, he moved to Henderson County in 1836, locating in the Eighth District, and purchased a plantation containing about 200 acres of land. About 1848, he moved to Carroll County where he resided until his death in 1875. The mother of John died about 1846. Mr. Pearson was twice married afterward, and the father of twenty-four children, eight of whom are now living, the subject of this sketch being the eldest. He was but two years old of age when his parents came to Tennessee, and went with them to Carroll County. In 1858 he married Miss Elizabeth Williams, who was born in Henderson County in 1838. To them one child was born, William Dudley. Mrs. Pearson died in 1864. Soon after his marriage, Mr. Pearson returned to Henderson County and settled on his father's old place. In 1866, he united with Eveline Parker of Carroll County. To this union seven children were born: Sidney A., Lou Emma, wife of John Jones; Kelvin B., Walter C., Priestly, Ethel and L. In 1870 Mr. Pearson bought 200 acres of fine land in the Tenth District, four miles north of Lexington, where he now resides, making altogether about 610 acres. In 1878 he erected a cotton-gin, and in 1886 another one. He gins on an average about 140 bales per year. He is one of the most successful agriculturalists in the entire section, well known and universally liked. He is a staunch Democrat, and is a member of the I.O.O.F. in best standing. They had the following children:
46. Rebecca J. PARKER. Born on 16 Mar 1844 in Carroll County, Tennessee. At the age of 31, Rebecca J. died on 28 Jan 1876. Buried in 1876 in Parkers Crossroads Cemetery, Parkers Crossroads, Henderson County, Tennessee. Cause of death: Pneumonia. On 18 Dec 1860 when Rebecca J. was 16, she married John Wilkerson Marshall WATSON, son of Jesse WATSON (1802-1875) & Susannah McCUNE (1805-1899), in Carroll County, Tennessee. Born in 1842 in Prince Edward County, Virginia. At the age of 36, John Wilkerson Marshall died in Gibson County, Tennessee on 17 Sep 1878. Buried in 1878 in Walnut Grove Cemetery, Rutherford, Gibson County, Tennessee. Occupation: School Teacher. They had the following children:
47. Priestly E. PARKER. Born on 22 Apr 1848 in Carroll County, Tennessee. At the age of 42, Priestly E. died in Tennessee on 26 Apr 1890. Buried in 1890 in Parkers Crossroads Cemetery, Parkers Crossroads, Henderson County, Tennessee. Resided in 12th District, Carroll County, Tennessee in 1880. Living in with his uncle, Priest Parker, in Wildersville, Henderson County, Tennessee, in 1870. Priestly E. married Sallie BUTLER. Born in 1857 in Tennessee. They had the following children:
