Family of John R. PARKER III (13) & Isabella Ann WILEY

43. John Priestly PARKER. Born in 1840 in Columbus, Lowndes County, Mississippi. At the age of 22, John Priestly died in Corinth, Mississippi on 4 Oct 1862.

Died at the Battle of Corinth, Mississippi.

On 27 Jun 1858 when John Priestly was 18, he married Sarah C. McKEOWN, daughter of Samuel McKEOWN & Margaret ?, in Columbus, Lowndes County, Mississippi. Born in 1837 in Monroe County, Mississippi. At the age of 35, Sarah C. died in Monroe County, Mississippi in 1872.

They had the following children:
i. Jacqueline. Born on 17 Jun 1859 in Lowndes County, Mississippi. At the age of 74, Jacqueline died on 19 May 1934.

ii. Alvis Wrightman. Born about 1861 in Lowndes County, Mississippi. At the age of 38, Alvis Wrightman died in Texas in 1899.

iii. Sallie Priestly. Born on 12 Oct 1862 in Lowndes County, Mississippi. At the age of 59, Sallie Priestly died in Gladstone, Union County, New Mexico on 26 Nov 1921. Alias/AKA: "Lillie".

Abraham Botters granted guardianship of Salle and her sister and brother on November 7, 1872 after her mothers died in Lownders County, Mississippi.

On 6 Mar 1884 when Sallie Priestly was 21, she married Jesse Thomas WILEY, in Luling, Caldwell County, Texas. Born on 11 Feb 1854 in Luling, Caldwell County, Texas. At the age of 80, Jesse Thomas died in Clayton, Union County, New Mexico on 14 Aug 1934.
