On 1 Jan 1849 when Anne Elizabeth was 26, she married James Pennington JOHNSON, son of Stephen JOHNSON (1790-1857) & Mary KYTLE (1790-1880), in Carroll County, Tennessee. Born on 16 Jan 1822 in Greenville District, South Carolina. At the age of 59, James Pennington died in Madison County, Tennessee on 11 Dec 1881. Buried in 1881 in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Carroll County, Tennessee. They had the following children:
20. William Jackson HILLIARD. Born on 28 Jan 1827 in Madison County, Alabama. At the age of 73, William Jackson died in Carroll County, Tennessee on 11 Nov 1900. Buried in 1900 in Blair Cemetery, Clarksburg, Carroll County, Tennessee. Resided in 13th District Carroll County, Tennessee in 1860. Alias/AKA: Member of Williams Chapel Church of Christ, Clarksburg, Carroll County, Tennessee. On 27 Sep 1849 when William Jackson was 22, he married Amelia E. WILLIAMS, daughter of Thomas WILLIAMS (1803-1852) & Harriet BLAIR (1809-1861). Born on 11 Sep 1830 in North Carolina. At the age of 58, Amelia E. died in Carroll County, Tennessee on 26 Jan 1889. Buried in 1889 in Blair Cemetery, Clarksburg, Carroll County, Tennessee. Resided in 13th District Carroll County, Tennessee in 1860. They had the following children:
21. Wiley Haywood HILLIARD. Born in 1834 in Tennessee. At the age of 62, Wiley Haywood died in 1896. Resided in 12th District, Carroll County, Tennessee in 1860. W. H. Hilliard, farmer of Huntingdon, was born in 1834, in Carroll County, Tenn. He is the son of Rightmon and Delany (Jones) Hilliard. The father was born in 1800 near Raleigh, N.C., and was a farmer by occupation. When a young man he went to Alabama, near Huntsville, where he married a Miss Jones, by whom he had one child. Mrs. Hilliard died, and he afterward married Delany Jones. She was born in 1803. About 1820 Mr. Hilliard came to Carroll County and located in the Twelfth District He was one of the pioneer settlers of the county. He bought 300 acres, settled, and where he always remained. He died in 1856 and his wife in 1867. They had ten children who lived to be grown, six of whom are now living_Eliza, widow of J. P. Johnson; W. J., Emma, wife of Joel A. Watson; Delia, wife of John D. Crider; Fannie, wife of A. C. White, and W. H. He was reared at home receiving his education in the schools of his native county, making his home with his parents until he was twenty-one. November 30, 1856, he married Miss Cordila Johnson, daughter of James M. Johnson. Mrs. Hilliard was born in 1829, in Carroll County. They had one child, Sebron J., who resides in the Twenty-fourth District and is a farmer. Mr. Hilliard lost his wife in September, 1874, and December of the same year he married Miss Louisa E. Johnson, sister of his first wife. Mrs. Hilliard was born in 1842, in Carroll County. They have two children, Eddie May and Louisa Essie. After marrying, Mr. Hilliard bought 118 acres in the Twelfth District, and began his career as a farmer on his own responsibility. In 1883 he moved to Huntingdon, where he has since resided. Mr. Hilliard now owns 850 acres, and is a well-to-do farmer. He commenced in life as a poor boy, but by his energy, industry and close application to business he has succeeded nicely, and is now in easy circumstances. In politics he is a Democrat, casting his first vote for Fillmore in 1856. He and his wife are members of the Methodist Episcopal Church, and his oldest son of the Christian Church. On 30 Nov 1856 when Wiley Haywood was 22, he first married Cordelia JOHNSON, daughter of James M. JOHNSON, in Carroll County, Tennessee. Born about 1839 in Tennessee. Resided in 12th District, Carroll County, Tennessee in 1860. They had one child:
In Dec 1874 when Wiley Haywood was 40, he second married Louisa E. JOHNSON, daughter of James M. JOHNSON, in Carroll County, Tennessee. Born in 1842 in Carroll County, Tennessee. They had the following children:
22. Manerva Emily HILLIARD. Born in 1841 in Tennessee. Resided in 12th District, Carroll County, Tennessee in 1860. Manerva Emily married Joseph A. WATSON, son of Jesse WATSON (1802-1875) & Susannah McCUNE (1805-1899). Born about 1836 in Virginia. Resided in 12th District, Carroll County, Tennessee in 1860. Occupation: Farmer. Alias/AKA: "Joe". They had the following children:
23. Cordelia Ann HILLIARD. Born on 2 Jan 1844. At the age of 68, Cordelia Ann died on 9 Mar 1912. Buried in Mar 1912 in Hampton Cemetery, Carroll County, Tennessee. Resided in 12th District, Carroll County, Tennessee in 1860. Alias/AKA: "Ardelia". On 8 Feb 1865 when Cordelia Ann was 21, she married John Daniel CRIDER, in Carroll County, Tennessee. Born on 15 Feb 1826. At the age of 78, John Daniel died on 31 Aug 1904. Buried in Sep 1904 in Hampton Cemetery, Carroll County, Tennessee. They had one child:
