Resided in First District, Henderson County, Tennessee in 1930. On 3 Dec 1922 when Luther Vincent was 27, he married Mamie Lois MEALS, daughter of John Daniel MEALS (1877-1960) & Nancy Mariah LITTLEPAGE (1881-1942). Born on 16 Apr 1902 in Hamilton County, Texas. Mamie Lois died in Carroll County, Tennessee. Buried in New Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery, Carroll County, Tennessee. They had the following children:

Mr. and Mrs. Luther Gurley will be honored with an open house at their home on the old Jackson-Clarksburg Road on Sunday, December 3rd, to celebrate the Fiftieth Anniversary of their wedding. The open house will be hosted by their children and their wives and husbands, who are Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Gurley and Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Gurley of Clarksburg; Rev. and Mrs. Marshall Gurley and Mr. and Mrs. James Gurley of Memphis and Mr. and Mrs. James Snider, Jr. of Bruceton. Friends and relatives are invited to attend between the hours of 2 to 4:30 p.m. Mr. and Mrs. Gurley were married on December 3rd, 1922 by the late T.M. Boyd at the home of the bride's parents, the late Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Meals of Carroll County. 21. Walter Floyd GURLEY. Born on 23 Jan 1897. At the age of 70, Walter Floyd died on 21 Dec 1967. On 23 Sep 1917 when Walter Floyd was 20, he married Leaner Viola MANLEY. Born on 14 Oct 1901. At the age of 71, Leaner Viola died on 17 Aug 1973. They had the following children:
22. John Oder GURLEY. Born on 8 Dec 1899. At the age of 80, John Oder died on 11 Jun 1980. On 6 Aug 1929 when John Oder was 29, he married Florence Corene HARDY, daughter of Thomas Jefferson HARDY (1873-1924) & Ida Louisa TOSH (1878-1949). Born on 29 Nov 1907 in Carroll County, Tennessee. At the age of 92, Florence Corene died in Huntingdon, Carroll County, Tennessee on 4 Dec 1999. Buried in 1999 in Sellers Hill Cemetery, Clarksburg, 13th District, Carroll County, Tennessee. Obituary: Florance Corene Hardy Gurley, 92, of Huntingdon, died Saturday, December 4, at the Huntingdon Health and Rehabilitation Center. Services were held on Monday, December 6, at 2 p.m. at the Clarksburg Church of Christ. Brothers Bill Crossno and Billy Ringold officiated. Burial followed in the Sellers Cemetery. Dilday Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements. Mrs. Gurley, the daughter of the late Tom and Ida Tosh Hardy, was born November 29, 1907, in Carroll County. She was a homemaker and seamstress, and a member of the Clarksburg Church of Christ. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, John Oder Gurley, who died in 1980; three brothers and three sisters. She is survived by six children, Odell Gurley, Orbra Gurley, Oren Ray Gurley and Frances Laws, all of Huntingdon, and Odaleane Wyatt and Otis Gurley, both of Jackson; two brothers, Elihue Hardy and Roosevelt Hardy, both of Huntingdon; 15 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. They had the following children:
23. Lillie Izora GURLEY. Born on 7 Sep 1906. At the age of 89, Lillie Izora died in Huntingdon, Tennessee on 18 Aug 1996. Buried in 1996 in Palmer Shelter Cemetery, Carroll County, Tennessee. Religion: Baptist. Alias/AKA: 'Izora". Obituary: Mrs. Lily Pendergrass, 89, of Atwood, died Sunday, August 18, at the Hillhaven Convalescent Center. Funeral services were conducted on Tuesday, August 20, at Dilday Funeral Home. Interment followed in the Palmer Shelter Cemetery. Brother Mark Bearheart officiated. Mrs. Pendergrass, the daughter of the late Vinson and Sara Jane Gurley, was born September 7, 1906. She was the widow of J.W. (Bill) Pendergrass, was a retired Store Merchant and a member of the Baptist Church. She is survived by a daughter, Virginia Roberts, of Atwood, one son, Carl Waldon Pendergrass, of Trezevant, and a sister, Ruth Williamson, of Shreveport, La. She also leaves nine grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers who served were James (Mutt) Pendergrass, Odell Gurley, Oran Ray Gurley, Franklin Boyd, James Rosser and Otis Gurley. Dilday Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. On 3 May 1924 when Lillie Izora was 17, she married John William PENDERGRASS, son of John F. PENDERGRASS (1856-1935) & Bettie A. BRANDON (1864-1953). Born on 2 Aug 1900. At the age of 78, John William died in Madison County, Tennessee on 6 Jan 1979. Buried in Jan 1979 in Palmer Shelter Cemetery, Carroll County, Tennessee. Occupation: Merchant in Atwood, Carroll County, Tennessee. Alias/AKA: "Bill". Residence: Atwood, Carroll County, Tennessee Served the public as a grocery store owner, in Atwood, Carroll County, Tennessee Obituary: John William (Bill) Pendergrass, 79, retired merchant of Atwood, died January 6, 1979, at Madison General Hospital in Jackson. Funeral services were held January 8, at 2 p.m. at Palmer Shelter Church with Bro. Greer of Camden officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery. Dilday Funeral Home was in charge. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Lillie Gurley Pendergrass of Atwood; a daughter, Mrs. Virginia Townsend of Atwood; a son, Carl Walden Pendergrass of Huntingdon; 9 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren; one brother, H.A. Pendergrass of Clarksburg and one sister, Mrs. Mandy Boyd of Huntingdon. Mr. Pendergrass was the son of John Pendergrass and Bettie Brandon Pendergrass. They had the following children:
