Family of Reverend John Anthony GURLEY (2) & Parila Adeline CARTER

6. Nancy Lucinda GURLEY. Born on 4 May 1861. At the age of 78, Nancy Lucinda died on 2 Feb 1940.

Obituary: Mrs. Nancy Lucinda (Gurley) Stanfill was born May 4th, 1861, and died February 2, 1940, aged 78 years. She was married to C.C. Stanfill in 1879, and to this union were born ten children: John, Mrs. Flora Fanning, Lon, Donzel, Bob, Will, Mrs. Cora Russell, Effie, Mrs. Estell Jones and Ernest. She was the daughter of Rev. John A. Gurley , and is survived by five brothers: George Gurley of Texas; Will H. Gurley of Arkansas; Vance, Lee, and Artie Gurley of this county. Rev. T.C. Jowers conducted the funeral services at Mt. Moriah.

In 1879 when Nancy Lucinda was 17, she married C.C. STANFILL.

They had the following children:
i. John.
ii. Flora.
iii. Lon.
iv. Donzel.
v. Bob.
vi. Will.
vii. Cora.
viii. Effie.
ix. Estelle.
x. Ernest.
