First Generation

1. Thomas William GURLEY. Born on 29 Mar 1811 in Tennessee. At the age of 80, Thomas William died in Henderson County, Tennessee on 11 Aug 1891.

Thomas William married Martha Jane MULLINS. Born on 2 Apr 1815 in Virginia. At the age of 83, Martha Jane died in Henderson County, Tennessee on 21 Nov 1898.

They had the following children:
i. George Washington. Born in 1831 in Lincoln County, Tennessee. At the age of 21, George Washington died in Henderson County, Tennessee in 1852.
2 ii. John Anthony (1835-1898)
iii. Lucinda. Born in 1836.

Lucinda married a Grissom.
iv. Sarah Gurley. Born in 1837. At the age of 81, Sarah Gurley died in 1918.

Sarah married a Dunn and later a Earls.
3 v. Louisa (1839-1916)
4 vi. Thomas Wesley (1841-1898)
vii. Vincent R.. Born in 1843. At the age of 19, Vincent R. died on 6 Apr 1862.

Killed in the Battle of Shiloh.
viii. Martha. Born in 1844.
ix. Mary. Born in 1845.
5 x. James Presley (1847-1919)
xi. Andrew. Born in 1849.
xii. Nancy. Born in 1857.
xiii. William.
xiv. Charles.
