Family of Thomas Porter GROGAN Senior (8) & Nancy Jane MURPHY

21. Rice Ross GROGAN. Born on 20 Aug 1891. At the age of 60, Rice Ross died on 24 Mar 1952. Buried in Mar 1952 in New Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery, Carroll County, Tennessee.

On 19 Oct 1913 when Rice Ross was 22, he married Ollie J. KELLEY, daughter of William John KELLEY (1855-1911) & Josephine Virginia LEWIS (1856-1912), in Carroll County, Tennessee. Born on 9 Sep 1889. At the age of 62, Ollie J. died on 27 Jun 1952. Buried in Jun 1952 in New Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery, Carroll County, Tennessee.

They had the following children:
i. Jessie Ray. Born in 1914. Jessie Ray died in 1914.
ii. Tommie. Born on 24 May 1916.

Tommie married Sudie Fay LEWIS. Born on 17 Feb 1912. At the age of 72, Sudie Fay died on 10 Jan 1985.
iii. Agnus Josephine. Born on 2 May 1920.

Agnus Josephine married Robert Carzie RIGSBY, son of Emmett RIGSBY & Martha Adell ROARK (1895-). Born on 16 Jul 1915. At the age of 71, Robert Carzie died on 14 Jul 1987.
42 iv. Claudine G. (1926-2001)

22. Bertha GROGAN. Born on 2 Jun 1896. At the age of 67, Bertha died on 7 Jul 1963.

On 17 Dec 1916 when Bertha was 20, she first married Alford WOODWARD, son of Benjamin F. WOODARD (1846-1928) & Nancy H. COLLINS (1859-1914), in Carroll County, Tennessee. Born on 26 Jun 1891. At the age of 39, Alford died on 15 Jan 1931.

They had one child:
i. Eda Mae.

Bertha second married Will HUMPHREY.

23. Verlie May GROGAN. Born on 22 Oct 1906. At the age of 78, Verlie May died in Apr 1985. Resided in 7th District, Carroll County, Tennessee in 1920.

On 1 Jun 1924 when Verlie May was 17, she married Sidney BAUMGARDNER, son of Berry BAUMGARDNER (1879-) & Elsie Geneva BURNS (1882-), in Carroll County, Tennessee. Born on 6 Aug 1905 in Carroll County, Tennessee. At the age of 78, Sidney died in Mar 1984. Resided in 7th District, Carroll County, Tennessee in 1920.

They had one child:
i. Ella Mae.

24. Thomas Porter GROGAN Junior. Born on 29 Jul 1910 in Carroll County, Tennessee. At the age of 56, Thomas Porter died in Carroll County, Tennessee on 31 May 1967. Buried in Jun 1967 in Blair Cemetery, Clarksburg, 13th District, Carroll County, Tennessee. Resided in 7th District, Carroll County, Tennessee in 1920. Occupation: Farmer. Alias/AKA: "T.P.".

Thomas Porter married Opal B. MYRACLE, daughter of Sidney MYRACLE (1877-1959) & Ada June FRONABARGER (1885-1950). Born on 17 Mar 1918 in Tennessee. Resided in Sevierville, Sevier County, Tennessee in Jun 2001. Resided in District 13, Carroll County, Tennessee in 1920.

They had the following children:
43 i. Shirley
44 ii. James H. (1942-)
iii. Shelia.
