Family of John Comer GRIGGS (15) & Frances Elliotte TODD

43. John William GRIGGS. Born on 18 Jan 1863 in Henderson County, Tennessee. At the age of 86, John William died in Dale, Oklahoma on 22 Dec 1949.

On 7 Dec 1884 when John William was 21, he married Etta Mae WILSON, daughter of James Allen WILSON (1831-1884) & Sarah Emerline FERGUSON (1837-1881), in Wildersville, Henderson County, Tennessee. Born on 16 Dec 1870 in Henderson County, Tennessee. At the age of 72, Etta Mae died in Dale, Oklahoma on 2 Dec 1943.

They had the following children:
87 i. Oscar Comer (1886-1980)
ii. Unie Carl. Born on 7 Feb 1889 in Henderson County, Tennessee. At the age of 71, Unie Carl died in Benton Harbor, Michigan on 14 Jul 1960.

Unie Carl married Hubbard A. COZART. Hubbard A. died in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on 23 May 1959.

iii. Robert Dayton. Born on 17 Feb 1892 in Henderson County, Tennessee. At the age of 95, Robert Dayton died in Benton Harbor, Michigan on 10 Mar 1987.

On 3 Dec 1916 when Robert Dayton was 24, he married Annie Lisa HENSLEY.

88 iv. Willie Guy (1894-1970)
v. Loyd Dale. Born on 17 Oct 1898 in Collins County, Texas. At the age of 44, Loyd Dale died on 23 May 1943.

Loyd Dale married Alberta BEESLEY.
