Family of William C. PENDERGRASS (28) & Zora E. ROSS

83. Esther PENDERGRASS. Born in 1890. At the age of 85, Esther died in 1975. Buried in 1975 in Carroll County Memorial Gardens, Carroll County, Tennessee.

On 3 Oct 1909 when Esther was 19, she married Horace R. KIRBY, son of KIRBY, in Carroll County, Tennessee. Born in 1891. At the age of 79, Horace R. died in 1970. Buried in 1970 in Carroll County Memorial Gardens, Carroll County, Tennessee.

They had the following children:
i. Opal. Born on 19 Jul 1910 in Carroll County, Tennessee. At the age of 79, Opal died in Gibson County, Tennessee on 21 Nov 1989.

Opal married Cletus A. MERRITT, son of Bennie MERRITT (1883-1925) & Ella HOOD (1882-1963). Cletus A. died in 1981.
234 ii. James Edward (1926-1994)
iii. Madelyn. Resided in Toledo, Ohio in 1994.

Madelyn married Samuel GLORE.
