58. Willie LESLIE. Born in 1878 in Tennessee. At the age of 34, Willie died in Nashville, Davidson County, Tennessee on 9 Feb 1912. Buried in 1912 in Coffman Cemetery, Henderson County, Tennessee.

In 1895 when Willie was 17, she married Joseph Thomas COFFMAN (135) , son of Samuel M. COFFMAN (1845-1913) & Sarah Tabitha MILAM (42) (1851-1942). Born on 23 Aug 1871 in Henderson County, Tennessee. At the age of 83, Joseph Thomas died in Milan, Gibson County, Tennessee on 23 Nov 1954. Buried in 1954 in Coffman Cemetery, Henderson County, Tennessee. Alias/AKA: "Joe".

They had the following children:

59. Nannie LESLIE. Born on 26 Feb 1880. At the age of 93, Nannie died in Clarksburg, Carroll County, Tennessee in 1974. Buried in 1974 in Parkers Crossroads Cemetery, Parkers Crossroads, Henderson County, Tennessee. Resided in Clarksburg, Carroll County, Tennessee in 1932.

Obituary: Mrs. Nannie Leslie Meals died January 28th at Carroll County Nursing Home. Widow of A. L. Meals, Nannie was 93 when she died. Services were conducted at Clarksburg Church of Christ and burial was in Parkers Cross Roads Cemetery. A member of the Mud Creek Primitive Baptist Church, Mrs. Meals is survived by two sons, Clifford Meals and Howard Meals of Clarksburg, TN; a daughter, Mrs. C. H. Douglass of Lynchburg, VA, three grandchildren and six great grandchildren. She is also survived by a sister, Mrs. Cap Rosser of Memphis, TN.


On 8 Oct 1899 when Nannie was 19, she married Asa Leroy MEALS, son of Lewis Harrison MEALS (1849-1935) & Mary Josephine FLAKE (1856-1937), in Henderson County, Tennessee. Born on 8 Mar 1875. At the age of 83, Asa Leroy died in Clarksburg, Carroll County, Tennessee in 1959. Buried in 1959 in Parkers Crossroads Cemetery, Parkers Crossroads, Henderson County, Tennessee. Occupation: Blacksmith, Clarksburg, Carroll County, Tennessee.

They had the following children:

ii. Clifford. Born in 1901. At the age of 87, Clifford died in Clarksburg, Carroll County, Tennessee in 1988.

Clifford married Iva GROSS, daughter of Alvis Marian GROSS (1866-1958) & Libby Arlene SCOTT (1876-). Born on 4 Jul 1904. At the age of 80, Iva died in Clarksburg, Carroll County, Tennessee in 1985.

60. Lewis Jackson LESLIE. Born on 12 Apr 1882 in Henderson County, Tennessee. At the age of 78, Lewis Jackson died in Henderson County, Tennessee on 18 Aug 1960. Buried in 1960 in Parkers Crossroads Cemetery, Parkers Crossroads, Henderson County, Tennessee. Resided in Wildersville, Henderson County, Tennessee in 1932.

Lewis Jackson married Elizabeth BRITT, daughter of James Neely BRITT (1853-1919) & Laura Frances SCOTT (1851-1924). Born on 21 Feb 1882 in Henderson County, Tennessee. At the age of 80, Elizabeth died in Henderson County, Tennessee on 5 Jul 1962. Buried in 1962 in Parkers Crossroads Cemetery, Parkers Crossroads, Henderson County, Tennessee. Alias/AKA: "Lizzie".

61. Sidney Wess LESLIE. Born on 1 Jul 1886. At the age of 84, Sidney Wess died on 15 Jun 1971. Buried in 1971 in Blair Cemetery, Clarksburg, Carroll County, Tennessee. Resided in Clarksburg, Carroll County, Tennessee in 1932.

On 6 Aug 1905 when Sidney Wess was 19, he married Arrie Ell DOUGLAS, daughter of James M. DOUGLAS (1849-1902) & Julia A. TAYLOR (1859-1959), in Carroll County, Tennessee. Born on 25 Mar 1886. At the age of 82, Arrie Ell died on 30 Dec 1968. Buried in 1968 in Blair Cemetery, Clarksburg, Carroll County, Tennessee.

ii. James Ondee. Born on 5 Jun 1908. At the age of 11, James Ondee died on 19 Jun 1919. Buried in 1919 in Blair Cemetery, Clarksburg, Carroll County, Tennessee.

Cause of Death: Killed by lightening.

Obituary: In memory of little Odean Leslie, who was struck and killed by lightening on Wednesday last week. He was born June 5th, 1908, and was 11 years old. He was a sweet and lovable child. We know little Odean is at rest and may Gold help the bereaved parents and little brother who were so devoted to him.

62. Vivian Mai LESLIE. Born on 3 May 1887 in Wildersville, Henderson County, Tennessee. At the age of 90, Vivian Mai died in 1978. Buried in 1978 in Jones Cemetery, Wildersville, Henderson County, Tennessee. Resided in Wildersville, Henderson County, Tennessee in 1932. Resided in Memphis, Shelby County, Tennessee.

On 27 Jun 1909 when Vivian Mai was 22, she married Cap P. ROSSER, son of Jefferson Thompson ROSSER (1861-1915) & Nancy Elizabeth BLOUNT (1865-1928), in Henderson County, Tennessee. Born in 1891. At the age of 85, Cap P. died in 1976. Buried in 1976 in Jones Cemetery, Wildersville, Henderson County, Tennessee. Resided in Wildersville, Henderson County, Tennessee in 1928.

They had the following children:
i. Steve Jefferson. Born on 10 Dec 1917.

On 12 Aug 1936 when Steve Jefferson was 18, he first married Josephine HARRIS, in Henderson County, Tennessee.

Steve Jefferson second married Sarah SAVAGE.
ii. Infant. Born on 21 Mar 1919. Infant died on 21 Mar 1919. Buried in Mar 1919 in Jones Cemetery, Parkers Crossroads, Henderson County, Tennessee.
iii. Infant. Born on 4 Feb 1920. Infant died on 4 Feb 1920. Buried in Feb 1920 in Jones Cemetery, Parkers Crossroads, Henderson County, Tennessee.
178 iv. Jack Thomas (1922-)

63. George Edgar LESLIE. Born on 11 Aug 1888 in Wildersville, Henderson County, Tennessee. At the age of 66, George Edgar died on 23 Nov 1954. Resided in Wildersville, Henderson County, Tennessee in 1932.

George Edgar married Sarah Ethel DOUGLAS (321) , daughter of Joseph C. DOUGLAS (1862-1944) & Mary A. COFFMAN (134) (1869-1923). Born on 6 Oct 1890. At the age of 78, Sarah Ethel died in 1969. Buried in 1969 in Rock Springs Cemetery, Henderson County, Tennessee.

They had one child:
