177. James Thomas HESTER. Born on 12 Sep 1934 in Carroll County, Tennessee. At the age of 64, James Thomas died on 25 Apr 1999. Buried on 27 Apr 1999 in New Hope Cemetery, Yuma, Carroll County, Tennessee.

Obituary: Obituary: James Thomas Hester, 64, of Huntingdon, died Sunday, April 25, at Baptist Memorial Hospital. Services were held on Tuesday, April 27, at Dilday Funeral Home. Burial followed in the New Hope Cemetery, near Yuma. Brother Lynn Stapleton officiated the services. Mr. Hester, the son of the late Thomas Hardy and Viola Gooch Hester, was born September 12, 1934, in Carroll County. He was a maintenance worker for the Telephone Company in California. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Bill Hester. He is survived by three daughters, Sherry Lee Hester of Byhalia, Mississippi, Peggy Annette Chandler and Janice Chandler, both of Hamilton, Alabama; two sons, Gary Hester and Ronald Hester, both of Byhalia, Mississippi; eight sisters, Martha Pearson of Huntingdon, Glenda Bell of Yuma, Sandra Milan of Portageville, Missouri, Alice Mitchell, Mary Oatsvall, Barbara Rust and Betty Hollingsworth, all of Huntingdon, and Helen Sparks of Camden; three brothers, Joe Hester of Huntingdon, Dale Hester of Wildersville, and Darrell "Goochie" Hester of Buena Vista; nine grandchildren and a great-granddaughter.

James Thomas married Peggy ELLIS.

They had the following children:

178. Joe Harold HESTER Senior. Buried on 28 Jul 2003 in New Hope Cemetery, Yuma, Carroll County, Tennessee. Resided in Huntingdon, Carroll County, Tennessee in 1999.

Obituary: Funeral services for Mr. Joe Harold Hester, 66, of Clarksburg, Tennessee, will be Monday, July 28, 2003 at 2:00 PM at Chase Funeral Home with burial in the New Hope Cemetery near Yuma. He was a retired Technician for Procter & Gamble Company. He is survived by three daughters, Cindy Cagle, Nancy Umstead, Kim Massey; one son, Joe Hester, Jr.; eight sisters, Helen Sparks, Glenda Gail Bell, Sandra Milam, Mary Ann Oatsvall, Martha Pearson, Alice Mitchell, Barbara Kay Rust and Betty Hollingsworth; two brothers, Darrell Gooch Hester, and Larry Dale Hester. He also leaves six grandchildren, Holli Gatlin, Paige Umstead, Brittany Cagle, Craig Massey, Brandi Massey, Aiden Hester, and one great grandson, Ethan Gatlin.



Joe Harold first married Amy Jo HILLIARD.

They had the following children:

Joe Harold second married Carolyn HARDY, daughter of Thomas Elihue HARDY (1917-) & Geraldine CRIDER (1921-2000).

Sharon Helen first married Johnny COLTS.

They had one child:

180. Mary Ann HESTER. Resided in Huntingdon, Carroll County, Tennessee in 1999.

Mary Ann married Robert Carl OATSVALL, son of Garvin Carl OATSVALL (1907-1980) & Ethel Lorene SMITH (1907-). Born on 8 Aug 1939. At the age of 48, Robert Carl died on 28 Jun 1988.

They had the following children:

181. Betty Sue HESTER. Resided in Huntingdon, Carroll County, Tennessee in 1999.

Betty Sue married Ligie Serrelle HOLLINGSWORTH.

Alice Jean married Danny Ray MITCHELL, son of Billy CARNELL & Dorothy Helen MITCHELL (1929-).

They had the following children:

184. William Hardy HESTER. Alias/AKA: "Bill".

William Hardy first married Kathy Lynn LEWIS.

They had one child:
i. Lisa Ann. Born on 22 Apr 1968 in Carroll County, Tennessee. At the age of 34, Lisa Ann died in Huntingdon, Carroll County, Tennessee on 20 Nov 2002. Buried on 22 Nov 2002 in Jamison Cemetery, Carroll County, Tennessee.

Obituary: Mrs. Lisa Ann Wilson, 34, died on Wednesday, November 20 at the Baptist Memorial Hospital. Funeral services were conducted on Friday, November 22 in the Chase Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Fred Ward officiating. Interment followed in the Jamison Cemetery. Mrs. Wilson was born April 22, 1968 in Carroll County. She was a certified nursing assistant and attended Oak Grove Congregational Methodist Church. Her father, William Hardy Hester preceded her in death. Survivors include her husband, Jeffrey W. Wilson and her mother and stepfather, Kathy Lynn Rich and Randy B. Rich.




Lisa Ann married Jeffrey W. WILSON.


William Hardy second married Gertrude FORREST.

They had one child:
i. Scotty Dale.


William Hardy third married Judy HOLLOWELL.

They had one child:
i. Susan Ray.


William Hardy fourth married Theresa Lyn MORTON.
