85. Thomas Hardy HESTER. Born on 21 Nov 1907 in Carroll County, Tennessee. At the age of 64, Thomas Hardy died in Carroll County, Tennessee on 3 May 1972. Buried in May 1972 in New Hope Cemetery, Yuma, Carroll County, Tennessee. Resided in District 13, Carroll County, Tennessee in 1930.

On 6 Nov 1931 when Thomas Hardy was 23, he married Ira Viola GOOCH, in Carroll County, Tennessee. Born on 1 Jan 1916. At the age of 73, Ira Viola died on 7 Jun 1989. Buried in Jun 1989 in New Hope Cemetery, Yuma, Carroll County, Tennessee.

86. Amanda Elizabeth HESTER. Born in 1910. At the age of 90, Amanda Elizabeth died in Wildersville, Henderson County, Tennessee on 27 Jul 2000. Buried on 29 Jul 2000 in Lexington Cemetery, Lexington, Henderson County, Tennessee. Resided in District 13, Carroll County, Tennessee in 1930.

Residence: Services for Mrs. Elizabeth Lee were Monday, July 31, at Reed's Chapel with burial in Lexington Cemetery. Mrs. Lee, who was 90, died Saturday, July 29 at her home at Wildersville of heart disease. She was a retired nurse. She leaves her husband, C.F. Lee of Wildersville; a son, Clarence Edward Lee of Montgomery Village, MD. and two granddaughters.

In 1933 when Amanda Elizabeth was 23, she married C.F. LEE, son of Robert Edward LEE (1870-1960) & Midna Elizabeth ADAMS (1875-1964). Born in 1908 in Henderson County, Tennessee. At the age of 96, C.F. died on 31 Oct 2004. Resided in District 1, Henderson County, Tennessee in 1920. Resided in First District, Henderson County, Tennessee in 1930. Resided in Lexington Cemetery, Lexington, Henderson County, Tennessee on 27 Nov 2004.

Research: A longtime Henderson County educator will be honored with a 92nd birthday celebration on Saturday at Beaver School. Former Beaver School principal, C.F. Lee, will be honored with a party at the school from 2-4 p.m. All former students, teachers and friends are invited to attend. Lee is a graduate of Lexington High School and Bethel College and received a Masters from University of Memphis. He taught at Timeberlake, Mt. Gilead, Life, Long Sought, and Beaver. He retired from teaching in 1974. Mr. Lee was married to the late Elizabeth [Hester] Lee in 1933. She died in July of this year after 67 years of marriage. They have a son, Clarence Edward Lee, of Maryland and two granddaughters.

Obituary: Lifelong resident of Wildersville, died on October 31, 2004. He was an educator for forty-two years in Henderson County. He was a graduate of Bethel College and Memphis State University. He was a member of the Masons, the Ruritan Club, the Retired Teachers Association, and the Expressway Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth. His survivors include, a son; Clarence Edward, daughter-in-law, Brenda; granddaughter Laura Elizabeth Lee all of Montgomery Village, MD; granddaughter Jennifer Denise Lee Overeem and her husband Peter Overeem of Frederick, MD; a sister, Martha Sue Reeves of Jackson, TN and nieces, Teresa Reeves Mitchell of Orlando, FL and Julia Reeves Emison of Humboldt, TN. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be sent to the Lexington- Henderson County Library, 702 Church Street, W., Lexington, TN 38351. Visitation with the family will be held from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 27, 2004 at Reed's Chapel in Lexington, TN with Pastor David Young officiating. Burial in Lexington Cemetery. Graveside Masonic services will follow.

Johnnie Woodrow HESTER. Born on 21 Oct 1914 in Yuma, Carroll County, Tennessee. At the age of 73, Johnnie Woodrow died in Clarksville, Montgomery County, Tennessee on 4 Aug 1988. Buried in Aug 1988 in Blair Cemetery, Clarksburg, 13th District, Carroll County, Tennessee. Resided in Clarksville, Montgomery County, Tennessee in 1970. Resided in District 13, Carroll County, Tennessee in 1930.

Johnnie Woodrow married Marie Elizabeth WALKER, daughter of Levi Priest WALKER (1894-1954) & Lula Marie UTLEY (1896-). Born on 9 Feb 1919. At the age of 58, Marie Elizabeth died on 24 Apr 1977. Buried in Apr 1977 in Blair Cemetery, Clarksburg, 13th District, Carroll County, Tennessee. Resided in Clarksville, Montgomery County, Tennessee in 1970.

88. Millert Clyde HESTER. Born on 4 Jun 1915. At the age of 67, Millert Clyde died on 25 Sep 1982. Buried in Sep 1982 in New Hope Cemetery, Yuma, Carroll County, Tennessee. Resided in District 13, Carroll County, Tennessee in 1930.

Millert Clyde married Ezra Jerome HANCOCK Senior, son of Samuel HANCOCK (1881-) & Nola ? (1877-). Born on 24 Dec 1920 in Henderson County, Tennessee. At the age of 78, Ezra Jerome died in Huntingdon, Carroll County, Tennessee on 15 Aug 1999. Buried on 17 Aug 1999 in New Hope Cemetery, Yuma, Carroll County, Tennessee. Resided in District 6, Henderson County, Tennessee in 1930. Resided in District 13, Carroll County, Tennessee in 1960. Resided in District 13, Carroll County, Tennessee in 1970. Resided in District 13, Carroll County, Tennessee in 1980. Resided in District 13, Carroll County, Tennessee in 1990.

Obituary: Jerome Hancock, Sr., 78, of Huntingdon, died Sunday, August 15, at Baptist Memorial Hospital. Services were held on Tuesday, August 17, at the Clarksburg Church of Christ. Burial followed in the New Hope Cemetery near Yuma. Brothers Bill Crossno and Eric Lyons officiated the services. Pallbearers who served were Merl Smith, Billy Crum, Charles Belew, Kenny Peterson, Mike Cobb and Gerald Brandon. Dilday Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements. Mr. Hancock, the son of the late Sam and Nola Hancock, was born December 24, 1920, in Henderson County. He was a farmer and a member of the Clarksburg Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Millert Hancock, who died in 1972. He is survived by his wife, Robbie Alexander; a daughter, Hilda Rudolph of Brewton, Alabama; a son, Jerome Hancock, Jr. of Huntingdon; a sister, Geraldine Neilsen of Lexington; a brother, Lyman Hancock of Decaturville; and two grandchildren, Casey Hancock and Mandy Hancock, both of Huntingdon.

They had the following children:
i. Samuel Roy. Born in 1945. Samuel Roy died in 1945. Buried in 1945 in New Hope Cemetery, Yuma, Carroll County, Tennessee.

89. Robert Lee HESTER. Born on 11 Feb 1917 in Yuma, Carroll County, Tennessee. At the age of 66, Robert Lee died in Carroll County, Tennessee on 18 Mar 1983. Buried in Mar 1983 in Blair Cemetery, Clarksburg, Carroll County, Tennessee. Resided in District 13, Carroll County, Tennessee in 1930.

Robert Lee married Clara Imojene PRINCE, daughter of Noah PRINCE (1870-1953) & Mattie ? (1886-1980). Alias/AKA: "Jean".
