2. Rowland GOOCH. Born on 9 Feb 1797 in Granville County, North Carolina. At the age of 76, Rowland died in Madison County, Tennessee on 9 Dec 1873. Buried in Dec 1873 in Pleasant Plains Baptist Church Cemetery, Madison County, Tennessee. Resided in 14th District, Carroll County, Tennessee in 1850. Resided in 14th District, Carroll County, Tennessee in 1860.

On 27 Nov 1817 when Rowland was 20, he married Hannah COZART, daughter of James COZART (1770-1838) & Frances Peggy HOWARD (1770-), in Granville County, North Carolina. Born in 1800 in North Carolina. At the age of 83, Hannah died in Madison County, Tennessee on 22 Jul 1883. Buried in Jul 1883 in Pleasant Plains Baptist Church Cemetery, Madison County, Tennessee. Resided in 14th District, Carroll County, Tennessee in 1860.

3. Pumphrey P. GOOCH Senior. Born about 1798 in Granville County, North Carolina. Pumphrey P. died in Carroll County, Tennessee. Resided in 14th District, Carroll County, Tennessee in 1860.

On 2 Feb 1822 when Pumphrey P. was 24, he married Elizabeth RUST, in Orange County, North Carolina. Born about 1801 in North Carolina. Resided in 14th District, Carroll County, Tennessee in 1860.

They had the following children:

15 ii. Mary Ann (1825-1862)
16 iii. James Chesley (1827-1900)
iv. Ellender. Born in 1830 in Carroll County, Tennessee.
17 v. Roland Presnell (1832-1910)
vi. Pumphrey W.. Born in 1835 in Tennessee. At the age of 28, Pumphrey W. died in Camp Chase Army Hospital, Ohio on 27 Feb 1863. Resided in 14th District, Carroll County, Tennessee in 1860.
vii. Emaline J.. Born in 1836 in Carroll County, Tennessee. At the age of 44, Emaline J. died about 1880.

On 15 Feb 1855 when Emaline J. was 19, she married Green W. ROBERTSON, in Carroll County, Tennessee.
