138. James Wesley ROBERTS. Born on 28 Jul 1929. At the age of 73, James Wesley died in Jackson, Madison County, Tennessee on 17 Nov 2002. Buried on 19 Nov 2002 in Jones Cemetery, Wildersville, Henderson County, Tennessee. Resided in Wildersville, Henderson County, Tennessee in 1999.

Obituary: Funeral services for James Roberts, age 73, will be held Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. at Reeds Chapel in Lexington with burial to follow in the Jones Cemetery in Wildersville. Mr. Roberts, a retired livestock farmer and employee of Lexington Sales Company, died Sunday at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital. He is survived by his wife of fifty-two years, Thelma Roberts; a son, James 'Jimmy' Roberts and his wife Jeannie of Wildersville; a daughter, Gail Walker and her husband Robert of Wildersville; a brother, Warren Roberts and his wife Ruth of Jackson and three grandsons, Jon Roberts, Wes and Wil Walker. He was preceded in death by his parents Elsie and Floyd Roberts; a brother, John Wilton Roberts and two dear friends, V.C. Morris and Guy Walker. Pallbearers will be Tim Roberts, Don Enochs, Jim Palmer, Billy Walker, Jimmy Lewis and Ronald Scott. Honorary pallbearers will be Priest Bolen, Ozlee Hale, 'Jazz' Herbert Wadley, Joe Tate, Ford Fronabarger, Ray Woods, Robert Kizer, Joe Lewis, Billy Olive, Vernon Akins, Ray McDaniel and John A. McDaniel. Family requests in lieu of flowers memorials be made to the Henderson County Benefit Committee and the American Cancer Society.



In 1950 when James Wesley was 20, he married Thelma Laverne ENOCHS, daughter of Gabriel Allison ENOCHS (1897-) & Jessie Geneva LIFSEY (1897-1970). Born on 20 Oct 1933.

They had the following children:
