First Generation

1. Elijah FLAKE. Born on 20 May 1777 in Anson County, North Carolina. At the age of 59, Elijah died in Henderson County, Tennessee on 23 Dec 1836. Buried in Flake Cemetery, Henderson County, Tennessee.

Elijah married Elizabeth WILLIAMS, daughter of Dudley WILLIAMS & Nancy HARRIS, in Anson County, North Carolina. Born in 1788. At the age of 73, Elizabeth died on 7 Jun 1861. Buried in Flake Cemetery, Henderson County, Tennessee.

They had the following children:
i. Samuel. Born in 1799.

Thought to have moved West.
2 ii. William B. (1812-1855)
3 iii. Dudley L. (1815-1863)
4 iv. James S. (1818-1906)
5 v. Mary (1821-1844)
vi. Mourning J.. Born in 1821. Resided in Mississippi.

Mourning J. married James HOUSE.
6 vii. Benjamin Labon (1830-1861)
viii. Thomas.
