On 25 May 1940 when Dorris Evelyn was 19, she married Elmer B. LESLIE Senior, son of Graden LESLIE (1896-) & Flora Medelin DUKE. Born on 16 Oct 1917. Resided in Anniston, Alabama in 1970.

They had the following children:
923 i. Elmer B. (1943-)
ii. John Cogdell. Born on 11 Jul 1953.
iii. Pamela Ann. Born on 25 Oct 1954.

Pamela Ann married Wendell Boyd KILGORE.
