422. James Abram WILLIAMS. Born on 14 Nov 1909. At the age of 94, James Abram died in Cleveland, Tennessee on 10 Dec 2003. Buried on 13 Dec 2003 in Mount Olivet Cemetery, McKenzie, Carroll County, Tennessee.

Obituary: James A. Williams, 94, of Cleveland, Tenn., formerly of McKenzie, retired owner of Ben Franklin and Williams Fabric stores, died Wednesday in Cleveland. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Brummitt Funeral Home with burial in Mount Olivet Cemetery. Ralph Buckner Funeral Home in Cleveland has charge. He was a member of McKenzie First United Methodist Church and a former 25-year member of McKenzie Board of Education. Mr. Williams, the husband of Ivy Nell Williams for 67 years, also leaves two sons, James O. Williams of Cleveland and Joseph C. Williams of Washington; a sister, Rachel McKinney of McLemoresville; a brother, John T. Williams of Memphis, and three grandchildren. The family requests that any memorials be sent to McKenzie First United Methodist Church or Bethel College.

Obituary: James A. Williams, 94, passed away on Wednesday, December 10 in a local healthcare facility. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in McKenzie where he held many offices. He was an avid fisherman and was a member of the McKenzie Board of Education for 25 years. He owned Ben Franklin Five & Dime Store in McKenzie and the Williams Fabric Stores in West Tennessee for many years. Mr. Williams was the son of the late Oliver and Annie Williamson Williams. Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Ivy Nell Williams of Cleveland; two children and spouses, James O. and Carolyn Williams of Cleveland and Joseph C. Williams and Azza El Abd of Washington D.C.; three grandchildren, James O. Williams Jr. of Nashville, Courtney Williams of Boone, North Carolina and Hussein Heshmat of Washington, D.C.; one sister, Rachel McKinney of McLemoresville and one brother, John T. Williams of Memphis. Funeral services were conducted at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, December 13 in the Brummitt Funeral Home Chapel in McKenzie with Rev. Harold Nation officiating. Interment was in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church of McKenzie or Bethel College of McKenzie. Ralph Buckner Funeral Home of Cleveland was in charge of the preliminary arrangements.

Annie Maude married Ralph E. SMITH.

425. Rachel Ophelia WILLIAMS. Born on 28 Aug 1918. Resided in McLemoresville, Carroll County, Tennessee in Dec 2003.

Rachel Ophelia married William McKINNEY.

They had the following children:
i. Jerry Frank. Born on 13 Nov 1939.

ii. James Carter. Born on 15 Sep 1941.

iii. Emily Ann. Born on 7 Apr 1945.

426. Billy Oliver WILLIAMS. Born on 26 Feb 1922. At the age of 63, Billy Oliver died on 30 Aug 1985.

Poet Laureate of Tennessee.

Billy Oliver first married Nonie Lucille ROGERS. Nonie Lucille died in 1974.

They had the following children:
i. Patricia Ann. Born on 16 Sep 1943.

ii. Phillip Rogers. Born on 29 Dec 1945. Occupation: Owner and manager of Williams Furniture in McKenzie, Carroll County, Tennessee. Alias/AKA: "Phil".

iii. Judith. Born on 5 Mar 1947.

iv. Elizabeth Lucille. Born on 12 Nov 1951.

v. Peggy Laurie. Born on 20 Aug 1953.

Billy Oliver second married Nora Ann DOLLHOPF. Alias/AKA: "Dollie".
