Cecil Austin FESMIRE Senior. Born on 29 Jan 1892 in Henderson County, Tennessee. At the age of 93, Cecil Austin died in Jackson, Madison County, Tennessee on 3 May 1985. Buried in May 1985 in Highland Memorial Gardens, Jackson, Madison County, Tennessee. Resided in 1st District, Henderson County, Tennessee in 1910. Cause of death: Liver cancer.

Cecil Austin Fesmire was a retired school principal.

On 19 Aug 1919 when Cecil Austin was 27, he married Flossie Ada Alice WALLER, daughter of Doctor Amos Luther WALLER & Mary Frances TEAGUE, in Henderson County, Tennessee. Born on 10 Apr 1892 in Henderson County, Tennessee. At the age of 89, Flossie Ada Alice died in Gibson County, Tennessee on 6 Jan 1982. Buried in Jan 1982 in Highland Memorial Gardens, Jackson, Madison County, Tennessee.

Flossie was a retired school teacher.

Ruby Levicie Jane FESMIRE. Born on 18 Jan 1894 in Henderson County, Tennessee. At the age of 84, Ruby Levicie Jane died in Henderson County, Tennessee on 18 Aug 1978. Buried in Aug 1978 in Antioch Cemetery, Lexington, Henderson County, Tennessee. Resided in Lexington, Henderson County, Tennessee in 1945. Resided in 1st District, Henderson County, Tennessee in 1910.

On 3 Dec 1911 when Ruby Levicie Jane was 17, she married Virgil Wood JOHNSON Senior, son of Luke JOHNSON & Frances WOOD, in Henderson County, Tennessee. Born on 4 Feb 1889. At the age of 58, Virgil Wood died in Henderson County, Tennessee on 25 Apr 1947. Buried in Apr 1947 in Antioch Cemetery, Lexington, Henderson County, Tennessee.

Beulah Mae second married Hal LEWIS.

ii. Virgil Wood. Born on 16 Dec 1916. At the age of 28, Virgil Wood died on 21 Jul 1945.

195. James Lafayette FESMIRE. Born on 27 Aug 1908 in Henderson County, Tennessee. At the age of 54, James Lafayette died in Oak Ridge, Tennessee on 4 Sep 1962. Buried in Sep 1962 in Lexington Cemetery, Lexington, Henderson County, Tennessee. Resided in 1st District, Henderson County, Tennessee in 1910. Resided in Oak Ridge, Tennessee in 1945. Alias/AKA: "J.L.".

On 16 Aug 1930 when James Lafayette was 21, he married Mildred Derue SELLERS, daughter of Fred Simpson SELLERS & Ardel Yandel JACKSON, in Henderson County, Tennessee. Born on 13 Oct 1910 in Bargerton, Henderson County, Tennessee. At the age of 93, Mildred Derue died on 29 Oct 2003. Buried on 1 Nov 2003 in Lexington Memorial Park, Lexington, Henderson County, Tennessee. Resided in Oak Ridge, Tennessee in Jul 2000. Resided in Oak Ridge, Tennessee in May 2002.

Obituary: Mildred Sellers Fesmire, 93, passed away Wednesday, October 29, 2003 at her residence. She was born October 13, 1910 in Bargerton TN to the late Fred and Ardie Jackson Sellers. She attended elementary school in Henderson County and graduated from Lexington High School in 1928. She was also a graduate of Memphis State University. She was married to the late James Lafayette Fesmire in 1930 and taught in several schools in Henderson County before moving to Oak Ridge in 1944 to join her husband. She substituted in the Oak Ridge School System until her husband's death September 4, 1962 and returned to full time teaching at Karns Elementary until her retirement. She loved teaching "her children" and was recognized as an outstanding teacher by them. She was a member of the New York AV Church of Christ, teaching Sunday School and providing flowers for the church for many years. She loved flowers and gardening and working in her yard and usually had flowers all around her. She loved to sew and loved poetry. She was an avid sports fan and watched all the games especially U.T. Basketball was her favorite and then golf. Besides her parents and husband she was also preceded in death by her son, James Anthony Fesmire. Survivors include her daughter and husband Mary and Roy Flake-Memphis; Granddaughters: Suzie Doyle and husband Charles-Munford, TN, Terri Oneil and husband Andy - Memphis; Lisa Dufur and husband Kevin - Collierville, TN; Great-grandchildren: Michelle Shelton and husband Jerry; Heather Odiorne, Danielle Dufur, Amanda and Lauren Huddleston, Monica and Chuck Doyle; One great-great-grandson Conner Shelton; Several nieces and nephews. Funeral service was held Saturday, November 1, 2003 at 2:00 PM with Minister James Lampley at Martin Oak Ridge Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be today, November 2, at 2:00 PM CST at the Lexington Memorial Park, Lexington, TN. Graveside services will be conducted by Charles Thomason of the Fairview Church of Christ and assisted by Chad Sellers with vocal selections and a poem.

ii. James Anthony. Born on 23 Apr 1947. At the age of 21, James Anthony died on 11 Jun 1968.

James died in an accident while working on a car.


196. Florence Maxine FESMIRE. Born on 22 Feb 1914 in Henderson County, Tennessee. Florence Maxine died in Jackson, Madison County, Tennessee. Resided in Jackson, Madison County, Tennessee in 1945.

On 12 May 1934 when Florence Maxine was 20, she first married Walter Thomas MOUNT. Born on 24 Jul 1913. At the age of 64, Walter Thomas died on 2 Dec 1977. They were divorced.

They had one child:
479 i. Pamela Jo (1936-)

On 26 Aug 1947 when Florence Maxine was 33, she second married Robert Delphus SCALLIONS. Born on 1 Nov 1913. At the age of 50, Robert Delphus died on 17 Jan 1964.

Florence Maxine third married William Edward TAYLOR. Born on 13 Dec 1896. At the age of 75, William Edward died on 26 Nov 1972.
