Leona Alice married Samuel Joseph MELTON, son of Enoch Jefferson MELTON & Melinda Catherine GREEN. Born on 7 Mar 1869. At the age of 83, Samuel Joseph died on 4 Jun 1952.

They had the following children:
i. Essie May. Born on 7 Sep 1893 in Hunt County, Texas. At the age of 5, Essie May died in Wolfe City, Texas on 24 Jul 1899.
ii. Samuel Claude. Born on 11 Dec 1894 in Hunt County, Texas. At the age of 4, Samuel Claude died on 29 Jun 1899.
iii. Carl Ray. Born on 1 Nov 1895 in Hunt County, Texas. At the age of 30, Carl Ray died in Lakeview, Texas on 22 Feb 1926.

On 21 Dec 1925 when Carl Ray was 30, he married Johnnie ROGERS.
iv. Dulcie Lee. Born on 27 Dec 1897 in Hunt County, Texas. At the age of 6, Dulcie Lee died in Wolfe City, Texas on 2 Sep 1904.
