On 24 Dec 1879 when James Abner was 21, he married Larcenia A. RINGOLD, daughter of Morgan RINGOLD (1818-1885) & Elizabeth AZBILL (1820-1881), in Henderson County, Tennessee. Born on 29 Jul 1859 in Henderson County, Tennessee. At the age of 74, Larcenia A. died in Henderson County, Tennessee on 14 Jul 1934. Resided in 17th District, Henderson County, in 1870. Alias/AKA: "Lessie". Obituary: Mrs. Larcenia Ringold Fesmire, daughter of the late Morgan and Eliza Ringold, and widow of the late James Abner Fesmire, was born in Henderson County July 29, 1859, and died at the old home five miles north of Lexington July 14th, 1934. On December 24th, 1879, she was married to Mr. Fesmire, who died years ago, and to that union three children were born of whom S.E. and Abbie L. survive and Willie died 18 years ago at the age of 30 years. Her son, Abbie, lived in the old home with her. Rev. A.F. Hayes conducted the funeral services. They had the following children:
84. Mary V. FESMIRE. Born in 1860. In 1881 when Mary V. was 21, she married John Warren RINGOLD Senior, son of Morgan RINGOLD (1818-1885) & Elizabeth AZBILL (1820-1881), in Henderson County, Tennessee. Born in Feb 1853 in Henderson County, Tennessee. At the age of 72, John Warren died in Henderson County, Tennessee in 1926. Buried in 1926 in Sellers Hill Cemetery, Clarksburg, 13th District, Carroll County, Tennessee. Resided in 17th District, Henderson County, in 1870. They had the following children:
85. William A. FESMIRE. Born in Jan 1868. At the age of 80, William A. died in 1949. Buried in 1949 in New Beech River Cemetery, Lexington, Henderson County, Tennessee. Alias/AKA: "Bill". William A. married Polly Ann BURKETT. Born in 1870. At the age of 88, Polly Ann died in 1958. Buried in 1958 in New Beech River Cemetery, Lexington, Henderson County, Tennessee. They had the following children:
86. Felix Winfield FESMIRE. Born in Nov 1869 in Henderson County, Tennessee. Resided in 7th District, Henderson County, Tennessee in 1870. Felix Winfield married Betty HAYES. They had the following children:
87. Samuel Lafayette FESMIRE. Born in Jul 1876 in Henderson County, Tennessee. Alias/AKA: "Latt". 1900 Henderson County Census shows "Latt" living with his father in Henderson County, Tennessee. This shows his occupation as a music teacher. On 22 Sep 1901 when Samuel Lafayette was 25, he married Frances Jane GIBSON, daughter of William F. GIBSON & Sarah Ann GILBERT, in Lamar County, Texas. Born on 21 Dec 1879 in Gadsden, Alabama. At the age of 43, Frances Jane died in Pattonville, Texas on 26 Feb 1923. Alias/AKA: "Fannie". They had the following children:
It appears that Latt and Frances married about 1901. They had three children. By 1910, she along with her three children, were living in the home of her father. It appears that "Latt" and Frances had separated by 1909. It is known that 'Latt" was a accomplished pianist and a musician by trade. Rumor has it that he repaired and tuned muscial instruments on a commission basis and retained more that his commission on some jobs and left by the back door as the sheriff came in the front door.
