Military: John Wesley served in the 27th Tennessee Infantry Regiment (CS) and later, Wilson's 21st Cavalry Regiment (CS). In 1865 when John Wesley was 21, he married Frances Ellen DOUGLAS, daughter of William Abel DOUGLAS (1818-1909) & Nancy Jane MILAM (1822-1884). Born on 10 Apr 1848 in Henderson County, Tennessee. At the age of 78, Frances Ellen died in Henderson County, Tennessee on 30 Nov 1926. Resided in 1st District, Henderson County, Tennessee in 1910. Obituary: In memory of my grandmother, Mrs. Ellen Fesmire, who died November 29, 1926, aged 78 years, 3 months and 9 days. She had two boys, Tom and John Fesmire, and three girls, Tommy, Mollie and Margaret. The girls and her beloved husband have been dead for many years. She left a host of grandchildren. God had called for her and she had to go. We hated to give her up. --Louise Fesmire. Frances Ellen Fesmire was born April 10, 1848, and died November 30th, 1926, aged 78 years. She was married to Wesley Fesmire at the age of 16. To this union were born three girls and two boys with only Thomas and John Witt surviving. Her husband preceded her in death several years ago. "Aunt Ellen, " as she was familiarly called, has been cared for by her grandson, Josephus Fesmire. He with his wife and sister, Florence Fesmire, have cared for her with such a tender care and watchfulness that it has brought to them the favors of neighbors. We will all miss Aunt Ellen. Funeral services were conducted at Prospect Church by Rev. Yates Moore. They had the following children:
62. William M. FESMIRE. Born on 1 Feb 1845 in Tennessee. At the age of 80, William M. died on 13 Jan 1926. Buried in Jan 1926 in Pisgah Cemetery, Atwood, Carroll County, Tennessee. Resided in 10th District, Henderson County, Tennessee in 1870. William M. first married Felix V. JUMELLA. Born on 7 May 1851 in Tennessee. At the age of 20, Felix V. died on 7 Jul 1871. Buried in Jul 1871 in Antioch Cemetery, Lexington, Henderson County, Tennessee. They had the following children:

63. James Henderson FESMIRE. Born on 8 May 1847 in Tennessee. At the age of 80, James Henderson died in Hammon, Cheyenne County, Oklahoma in 1928. Buried in 1928 in Red Hill Cemetery, Hammon, Cheyenne County, Oklahoma. Resided in District 10, Henderson County, Tennessee in 1870. Living in the home of Celia Dunn. James Henderson first married Margaret Alice WINSLOW, daughter of Alston WINSLOW & Leonosia ANDREWS (1835-). They had the following children:

64. Mary Catherine FESMIRE. Born on 28 Aug 1849 in Henderson County, Tennessee. At the age of 67, Mary Catherine died in Wildersville, Henderson County, Tennessee on 8 Jul 1917. Buried in Jul 1917 in Rhodes Cemetery, Henderson County, Tennessee. Mary Catherine married Richard H. RHODES, son of Alfred T. RHODES & Elizabeth WILLIAMS. Born on 6 Jan 1848. At the age of 64, Richard H. died on 6 Oct 1912. Buried in Oct 1912 in Rhodes Cemetery, Henderson County, Tennessee. They had the following children:
65. Thomas Elijah FESMIRE Junior. Born on 4 Dec 1852 in Tennessee. At the age of 25, Thomas Elijah died in Carroll County, Tennessee in 1878. Resided in 17th District, Henderson County, in 1870. Thomas Elijah married Arianne WINSLOW, daughter of Alston WINSLOW & Leonosia ANDREWS (1835-). They had the following children:
66. Selah Ann FESMIRE. Born on 14 Feb 1855 in Henderson County, Tennessee. At the age of 62, Selah Ann died in Springer, Oklahoma on 3 Jun 1917. Alias/AKA: "Celia Ann". In 1869 when Selah Ann was 13, she married William Eaton PAYNE. Born in 1848. At the age of 54, William Eaton died in Henderson County, Tennessee on 2 Feb 1902. They had the following children:
