On 2 Oct 1970 when Johnny Wayne was 20, he married Susan Kay CAVNESS, daughter of Raymond CAVNESS (1922-1972) & Mary Lucille DERRYBERRY (1923-1990). Born on 30 Jan 1953 in Carroll County, Tennessee. Resided in Lexington, Henderson County, Tennessee in Apr 2007.

They had the following children:
