Melvin Ellsworth married Maxine SEGRAVES, daughter of Linn Everett SEGRAVES (1900-1968) & Mary Elizabeth ROBERTSON (1894-1983). Born on 23 Dec 1926 in Carroll County, Tennessee. Resided in 14th District, Carroll County, Tennessee in 1930. Resided in Clarksburg, 13th District, Carroll County, Tennessee in May 2003.

They had the following children:

ii. Mark Anthony. Born on 26 Jun 1962 in Huntingdon, Carroll County, Tennessee. Resided in Clarksburg, 13th District, Carroll County, Tennessee in May 2003.

543. Marie GURLEY. Born on 2 Aug 1924. Resided in First District, Henderson County, Tennessee in 1930.

On 6 Nov 1943 when Marie was 19, she married James SNIDER. Born on 22 Apr 1925. At the age of 58, James died on 14 Oct 1983.

They had the following children:
i. Loretta Diane. Born on 12 Jan 1945. At the age of 5, Loretta Diane died on 14 Nov 1950. Buried in Nov 1950 in New Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery, Carroll County, Tennessee.
