360. Zelmer Odean ANDERSON Junior. Born on 23 Apr 1923 in Carruthersville, Missouri. At the age of 84, Zelmer Odean died in Jackson, Madison County, Tennessee on 12 Feb 2008. Buried on 15 Feb 2008 in Independence Cemetery, Henderson County, Tennessee.

Obituary: Funeral services for Mr. Zelmer Odean Anderson, age 84, are scheduled for 11:00 AM Friday, February 15, 2008 in the Chapel of Pafford Funeral Home with Dan Hughes officiating. Burial will follow in Independence Cemetery. Mr. Anderson died late Tuesday in Jackson. He was born April 23, 1923 in Carruthersville, Missouri to the late Zelmer Bryant and Dona Adams Anderson. He was a retired factory worker, employed with Johnson Controls for 27 years. He was a member of Juno Church of Christ, a long time song leader at Independence Church of Christ, and served many years on the Cemetery Association at Independence. He loved gospel music. Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Mrs. Maxine Pendergrass Anderson; his son, Alan Odean (Peggy) Anderson; his daughter, Kay Anderson (Steve) Jackson all of Lexington and his only grandson, Ty Anderson Dyer, who filled Mr. Anderson's life with joy and gave him a will to live. The family will receive friends today from 3:00 till 9:00 PM and tomorrow from 8:00 till 11:00 AM. The family requests donations be made to Jackson Christian School for the Band Program.




On 20 Jan 1951 when Zelmer Odean was 27, he married Johnnie Maxine PENDERGRASS, daughter of William Guy PENDERGRASS (1901-1959) & Jewell MAYO (1904-1971). Born on 27 Aug 1931.

They had the following children:
i. Alan Odean. Born on 18 Mar 1960.

Alan Odean married Peggy JOHNSON.

361. Helen Olene ANDERSON. Born on 6 Mar 1921 in Henderson County, Tennessee. At the age of 82, Helen Olene died in Jackson, Madison County, Tennessee on 29 Oct 2003. Buried on 1 Oct 2003 in Independence Cemetery, Henderson County, Tennessee.

Obituary: Funeral services for Mrs. Helen Olene Utley are scheduled for 11:00am, Saturday, November 1, 2003 in the chapel of Pafford Funeral Home with Bro. Tim Rogers officiating. Burial will follow in Independence Cemetery. Mrs. Utley died late Wednesday in Jackson. She was born March 6, 1921 in the Poplar Springs Community to the late Z. B. and Dona Adams Anderson. She was a retired employee of Johnson Controls and a member of Independence Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Oran Utley, her daughter, Debbie Pipkin, and two brothers, Larry and Nolan Anderson. Survivors include her son, Johnny Utley of Lexington, her brother, Odean (Maxine) Anderson of Lexington, and two grandsons, Cory (Holly) Pipkin and Clay Pipkin. The family will receive friends beginning today at 12:00pm until 9:00pm




Helen Olene married Oran UTLEY.

They had the following children:
