321. Melba Catherine DOUGLAS. Born in 1925 in Henderson County, Tennessee. At the age of 78, Melba Catherine died on 19 Oct 2003. Buried on 21 Oct 2003 in Waller-Douglas Cemtery, Bargerton, Henderson County, Tennessee.

Obituary: Melba Taylor, age 78, died Sunday, October 19, 2003. Services will be Tuesday, October 21, 2003 at 3:00 p.m. at Reed's Chapel in Lexington with burial to follow in Waller-Douglas Cemetery near Bargerton with Brent McMinn officiating. Mrs. Taylor was born and reared in the Juno-Poplar Springs Community of Henderson County, daughter of the late John Wilburn and Lydia Douglas. Her love in life was family and friends. She was a long time member of Poplar Springs Baptist Church. She is survived by two children, Shelia Taylor White and husband Tracy and Tim Taylor and wife Judy, all of Lexington; seven grandchildren, Jeremy Beck of Lexington, Kimberly White Cammuse of Nashville, Alicia Beck of Lexington, Misty Taylor Coggins of Ft. Knox, KY, Julie White Climer, Tobey Taylor and Daniel White, all of Lexington and two great grandchildren, Alexis Beck and Jacob White of Lexington. She is also survived by four siblings, Mable Thompson of Houston, TX, Cleatus Douglas and wife Martha of Nicholasville, KY, Mary Melton of Hurst, TX, Joe Douglas and wife Tootsie of Lexington, KY, and a sister-in-law, Betty Jo Douglas of Parsons. She was preceded in death by brothers, Curtis and James Douglas and brother-in-laws, Carl Faye Melton and Tuffy Thompson. Our loss is heaven's gain.
