322. Delia Mae DOUGLAS.

Delia Mae married Velmer Newton ANDERSON (150) , son of George Washington ANDERSON (1855-1924) & Tennessee Grant Terry DOUGLAS (45) (1863-1946). Born on 9 Jul 1900 in Henderson County, Tennessee. At the age of 44, Velmer Newton died in Henderson County, Tennessee on 29 Aug 1944. Buried in Aug 1944 in Independence Cemetery, Henderson County, Tennessee.

Obituary: Velmer Newton Anderson, son of George W. and Tennie Anderson, was born July 9th, 1900, and died August 29th, 1944. He was married on December 16th, 1923, to Delia Douglas, who survives, and to this union were born four boys, two dying in infancy, G.W. dying at the age of six, about twelve years ago. Billie Edward, the remaining son, survives. Velmer leaves an aged mother, brothers, Joe L., J.H., W.P., C.A., A.V., Z.B (twin brother), and B.O. Anderson; three sisters, Mrs. Hautie Fowler, Mrs. Lonie Williams, and Miss Ramelle Anderson, all of Henderson County. "Rabe" as he was called, united with the Poplar Springs Church in 1913. His body was laid to rest beside his children at Independence Cemetery.

They had the following children:
i. Infant. Buried in Independence Cemetery, Henderson County, Tennessee.

ii. Infant. Buried in Independence Cemetery, Henderson County, Tennessee.

iii. G.W.. Buried in Independence Cemetery, Henderson County, Tennessee.
