259. Elizabeth BARNETT. Born on 27 Jan 1902 in Tennessee. Resided in District 1, Henderson County, Tennessee in 1910. Resided in District 13, Carroll County, Tennessee in 1930.

On 5 Feb 1928 when Elizabeth was 26, she married Ivy V. LEWELLING, son of John Nelson LEWELLING (1854-1914) & Sarah Lucendia GURLEY (1869-1935), in Carroll County, Tennessee. Born on 24 Aug 1901 in Henderson County, Tennessee. At the age of 68, Ivy V. died on 7 Sep 1969. Buried in Sep 1969 in Carroll County Memorial Gardens, McKenzie, Carroll County, Tennessee. Resided in District 2, Henderson County, Tennessee in 1910. Resided in District 13, Carroll County, Tennessee in 1930.

They had the following children:
i. Ellsworth. Born on 25 Oct 1929 in Madison County, Tennessee. At the age of 74, Ellsworth died in Huntingdon, Carroll County, Tennessee on 3 Mar 2004. Buried on 6 Mar 2004 in Carroll Memorial Gardens, McKenzie, Carroll County, Tennessee. Resided in District 13, Carroll County, Tennessee in 1930.

Obituary: HUNTINGDON: Mr. Ellsworth Lewelling, 74, passed away Wednesday, March 3 at his home. Funeral services were conducted on Saturday, March 6 at the Chase Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Martin Klamm officiating. Interment followed in the Carroll Memorial Gardens. Mr. Lewelling was born October 25, 1929 in Madison County to the late Ira Vinson and Virginia Elizabeth Barnett. He was a farmer, a retired maintenance worker for the Tennessee Department of Transportation and a member of the Clarksburg Church of Christ. Survivors include his wife of 24 years, Joyce Lewelling; one son, Robert Reed and one brother, Ivy Eugene Lewelling, all of Huntingdon and one grandson.


Obituary: Ellsworth Lewelling, 74, of Huntingdon, died Wednesday, March 3, at his home. Services were held at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, March 6, in the chapel of Chase Funeral Home. Burial followed in the Carroll Memorial Gardens. Brother Martin Klamm officiated. Pallbearers who served were Jeff Barnett, Ken Clack, Mike Moore, Jackie Reed, Don Barnett and Derek Oetting. Mr. Lewelling, son of the late Iva Vinson and Virginia Elizabeth Barnett, was born October 25, 1929, in Madison County. He was a farmer, a retired maintenance worker for the Tennessee Department of Transportation and a member of the Clarksburg Church of Christ. He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Joyce Lewelling; one son, Robert Reed; and one brother, Ivy Eugene Lewelling, all of Huntingdon; one grandson, Hunter Reed; one nephew, Greg Lewelling; and two nieces, Jennifer Lewelling and Katie Lewelling.

260. Sterling Price BARNETT Junior. Born in 1905. At the age of 75, Sterling Price died in 1980. Buried in 1980 in New Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery, Carroll County, Tennessee.

Sterling Price married Mattie Irisa WALL, daughter of Charlie Ulysess WALL (1879-1957) & Ida E. MURPHY (1881-1933). Born on 19 Apr 1905. At the age of 74, Mattie Irisa died on 25 Jan 1980. Buried in Jan 1980 in New Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery, Carroll County, Tennessee.

Henry Joe BARNETT. Born on 11 Dec 1911 in Carroll County, Tennessee. At the age of 88, Henry Joe died in Carroll County, Tennessee on 28 Nov 2000. Buried in Nov 2000 in Carroll County Memorial Guardens, Carroll County, Tennessee. Resided in District 13, Carroll County, Tennessee in 1930. Occupation: Carpenter and a farmer. Religion: Huntingdon Church of Christ, Huntingdon, Carroll County, Tennessee.

Obituary: Henry Joe Barnett, 88, of Rosser Road, Huntingdon, died Tuesday, November 28, at his home. Services held at 2 p.m. Saturday, December 2, in the Dilday Funeral Home Chapel. Brother Bill Goodpasture and Brother Howard Pruitt of the Church of Christ, Huntingdon, officiated, and Brother Len O'Bryant led the choir of the church members in song. Burial followed in the Carroll Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers who served were his grandsons, Christopher Barnett and Clifton Barnett; his great nephew, Robert Reed; and his nephews, Phillip Barnett, Danny Barnett and Kenneth Clack. Honorary Pallbearers were his nephews, Waldon Barnett, Paul Barnett, Elsworth Lewelling and Ivy Gene Lewelling. Mr. Barnett, the son of the late Sterling Price and Mollie Burton Barnett, was born December 11, 1911, in Carroll County. He was a carpenter and farmer, a mason for 49 years, a 50 year member of the Carpenter's Union, and a long-standing and faithful member of the Huntingdon Church of Christ. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Carden Barnett, who died December 25, 1994; four sisters, Myrtle Barnett, Laura Wellman, Elizabeth Lewelling, and Mae Dobeck; and three brothers, Clarence Barnett, Sterling Price Barnett and Thomas Allen Barnett. He is survived by two sons, Donald Joe and wife, Francine Barnett, of Cleveland Heights, Ohio, and Earl Ray Barnett of Huntingdon; three grandchildren, Christopher Scott Barnett of Cleveland, Ohio, Jennifer Ruth Barnett of Bryson City, North Carolina, and Clifton Barnett of Jackson; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Henry Joe married Ruth CARDEN. Ruth died on 25 Dec 1994.

They had the following children:
i. Donald Joe. Resided in Cleveland Heights, Ohio in Nov 2000.

Donald Joe married Francine ?.

ii. Earl Ray. Resided in Huntingdon, Carroll County, Tennessee in Nov 2000.
