216. Walter Lafayette MEALS. Born on 2 Feb 1898 in Tate County, Mississippi. At the age of 84, Walter Lafayette died in Forrest City, St. Francis County, Arkansas on 25 Aug 1982.

Walter Lafayette married Maggie Lillian THOMAS, daughter of Newton R. THOMAS (1867-) & Mittie Choate VAN HOOK (1867-1906). Born on 21 Oct 1901 in Whitehaven, Shelby Co., TN. At the age of 86, Maggie Lillian died in Forrest City, St. Francis County, Arkansas on 26 Dec 1987.

They had the following children:
i. Walter Lafayette. Born on 31 Aug 1920.

217. Clarence Wade MEALS Senior. Born on 5 Nov 1903 in Coldwater, Stark County, Mississippi. At the age of 95, Clarence Wade died in Radcliff, Hardin County, Kentucky on 23 Oct 1999. Buried in Oct 1999 in Hardin Memorial Park, Hardin County, Kentucky.

Obituary: Clarence W. MEALS, 95, of Elizabethtown, died Sunday, Oct. 24, 1999, at North Hardin Health and Rehabilitation Center in Radcliff. He was a native of Coldwater, Miss., and a member and former usher at Memorial United Methodist Church. He was a member of Morrison Masonic Lodge #76 F & AM, where he was past secretary and past master; a 50-year member of Kosair Shrine Temple in Louisville; a 40-year member of Order of Eastern Star Chapter #34; a member of Conrad Cates Commandery #37; a member of Riasok Shrine in Elizabethtown; a 42-year member of Elliott Council #24 R & SM; and he was an active volunteer at Wesley Hilltop House. He retired from civil service in 1975 after 40 years of employment. He was preceded in death by his wife, Violet Mae MEALS, in 1995. Survivors include three sons, James C. MEALS of St. Louis, Roy L. MEALS of Rineyville and C.W. "Bud" MEALS of Jeffersonville, Ind.; a daughter, Ruby DENNIS of Forest City, Ark.; 15 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. The funeral is 11 a.m. Wednesday at Memorial United Methodist Church with Dr. Jerry Allen SMITH officiating. Burial will be in Hardin Memorial Park. Visitation will begin at 3 p.m. Tuesday with a Masonic service at 7 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home in Elizabethtown. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the Wesley Hilltop House in Elizabethtown or Brooks Chapel Cemetery Fund in Coldwater, Miss.

ii. Clarence Wade. Resided in Jeffersonville, Indiana in 1999. Alias/AKA: "Buddy".

Clarence Wade second married Violet Mae SCHROEDER. Violet Mae died in Sep 1995.

They had the following children:
i. James Clem. Resided in St. Louis, Missouri in 1999.
ii. Roy Logan. Resided in Rineyville, Kentucky in 1999.
