Obituary: James Britt, aged 65 years, died Wednesday, near Timberlake after a week's illness with pneumonia. Survived by wife, one son who lives near McKenzie, and two daughters, Mrs. S.E. Ballard, Lexington, and Mrs. Lewis Leslie, Wildersville. One daughter, Mrs. Jim Gibson, died a few years ago. Mr. Britt was a brother of W.R. Britt, Life community. Burial in Beech River Cemetery, Elder J.O. Brown officiating. James Neely married Laura Frances SCOTT, daughter of Harrison B. SCOTT (1824-1894) & Margaret SPENSER (1827-). Born on 15 May 1851 in Tennessee. At the age of 73, Laura Frances died on 28 Oct 1924. Buried in Oct 1924 in Beech River Cemetery, Lexington, Henderson County, Tennessee. Resided in District 9, Henderson County, Tennessee in 1870. They had the following children:
64. William Rayburn BRITT. Born in 1858 in Henderson County, Tennessee. At the age of 83, William Rayburn died in Jackson, Madison County, Tennessee in Jul 1941. Buried in 1941 in Lexington Cemetery, Lexington, Henderson County, Tennessee. Resided in District 10, Henderson County, Tennessee in 1860. Resided in 8th District, Henderson County, Tennessee in 1870. Occupation: Served as Circuit Court Clerk, Henderson County, 1886. Obituary: Suffering from a heart attack, William Rayburn Britt, 83, died Tuesday afternoon in Jackson. A resident of Jackson for 20 years, Mr. Britt was active in Madison County business organizations. Prior to moving to Jackson, he was a merchant in Henderson County, a real estate salesman and at one time Circuit Court Clerk. He leaves one daughter, Mrs. J. R. Reid of Jackson, and two grandchildren, Mary Frances Reid of Jackson, and Rayburn Reid of Los Angeles, California. Funeral services will be conducted at 3 o'clock, Wednesday afternoon at the Griffin Funeral Chapel with Rev. Corner Hastings, pastor of the First Methodist Church, Lexington, offiicating, with burial in Lexington Cemetery. William Rayburn married Emily BETTS. Born in 1867. At the age of 69, Emily died in 1936. Buried in 1936 in Lexington Cemetery, Lexington, Henderson County, Tennessee. They had the following children:
