Obituary: Better known as "Jim Pat" Douglas, the deceased was born December 24th, 1845, and departed this life January 13th, 1925, at the age of 79 years. He was first married to Simora Singleton. To this union were born two children, one of whom, with her mother, preceded him. He was latter married to Harriet Bray, and to this union were born ten children, seven girls and three boys, all living. Brother Douglas professed faith in Christ and at an early age, joined the M.E. Church at Union Cross. He was a staunch Republican, a good Christian neighbor and among the best citizens of Henderson County. He worked hard and attended strictly to his own affairs. His funeral was conducted by his pastor, Rev. E.A. Philips, in the presence of a large congregation after which the body was consigned to the grave in the Douglas Cemetery. James Alexander first married Catherine Samirah SINGLETON. Born in Nov 1843 in Tennessee. At the age of 28, Catherine Samirah died in Nov 1871. Buried in 1871 in Douglas Cemetery, Henderson County, Tennessee. They had the following children:
In 1873 when James Alexander was 27, he second married Harriet Emmaline BRAY, daughter of Wesley BRAY & Sarah WILSON. Born in 1852 in Tennessee. At the age of 70, Harriet Emmaline died on 29 Dec 1922. Buried in Dec 1922 in Douglas Cemetery, Henderson County, Tennessee. Resided in House 147, 8th District, Henderson County, Tennessee in 1880. Obituary: Wildersville Items: Mrs. Harriet Bray Douglas, who departed this life on December 29, 1922, was the wife of Jim Douglas, and had she lived until January 5th, 1923, would have been 70 years old. She was the mother of several children, Sarah, the oldest, died when young; Buddie, Ellen, Wilie, Archie, Nola, Dessie and Lonie all lived near her. Funeral services were conducted by Elder Lawrence of the Methodist Church, and the body was laid away in the Douglas graveyard. They had the following children:

Resided in 1st District, Henderson County, Tennessee in 1930. William H. first married Sarah A. ?. Born on 7 May 1853 in Tennessee. At the age of 50, Sarah A. died on 25 May 1903. Buried in May 1903 in Douglas Cemetery, Henderson County, Tennessee. Resided in House 152, 8th District, Henderson County, Tennessee in 1880. Resided in 8th District, Henderson County, Tennessee in 1900. They had the following children:
William H. second married Georgia A. ?. Born around 1858 in Tennessee. Resided in 1st District, Henderson County, Tennessee in 1910. Resided in 1st District, Henderson County, Tennessee in 1920. Resided in First District, Henderson County, Tennessee in 1930. 39. Mary Francis DOUGLAS. Born in 1852 in Tennessee. At the age of 86, Mary Francis died in 1938. Buried in 1938 in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Henderson County, Tennessee. Mary Francis married Sam Elum McCOY, son of John McCOY & Martha A. ?. Born in 1842. At the age of 92, Sam Elum died in 1934. Buried in 1934 in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Henderson County, Tennessee. They had the following children:
40. Sarah Ann DOUGLAS. Born in 1853 in Tennessee. Resided in House 144, 10th District, Henderson County, Tennessee in 1860. Sarah Ann married J.M. JOPLIN. Born around 1851 in Tennessee. They had the following children:
41. Silas C. DOUGLAS. Born in 1856 in Henderson County, Tennessee. At the age of 45, Silas C. died in Henderson County, Tennessee in 1901. Resided in House 144, 10th District, Henderson County, Tennessee in 1860. Silas C. married Rachel HOLMES. Born in 1856. Resided in House 128, 8th District, Henderson County, Tennessee in 1880. They had the following children:
