98. Carlos Adron ESKEW. Born on 15 Jul 1915 in Carroll County, Tennessee. At the age of 86, Carlos Adron died in Huntingdon, Carroll County, Tennessee in Nov 2001. Buried on 14 Nov 2001 in Long Rock Cemetery, Carroll County, Tennessee.

Obituary: Funeral services for Carlos A. Eskew, age 86, will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, November 14, 2001 at Long Rock Methodist Church with burial to follow in Long Rock Cemetery. Mr. Eskew, self employed, died November 11, 2001, at Baptist Memorial Hospital.

Obituary: Carlos A. Eskew, 86, of Clarksburg, died Sunday, November 11, at his home. Services were held on Wednesday, November 14, at the Long Rock Methodist Church, where he was a member. Rev. Wayne Holmes officiated. Burial followed in the church cemetery. Pallbearers who served were Tommy Eskew, Larry Eskew, Mike Bennett, Jimmy Holmes, Tim Bennett, David Chandler and Steve Rosser. Honorary pallbearers who served were Tim McCoy, Junior Ellis, Bruce Tippitt and Lloyd Baker. Dilday Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements. Mr. Eskew, the son of the late David and Bessie Dill Eskew, was born July 15, 1915, in Carroll County. He was owner of Eskew Automotive Consultants and a member of Long Rock Methodist Church. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Aline Pugh Eskew; a son, William (Susan) Eskew of Grapevine, Texas; two daughters, Janet Whitbourne of Memphis and Katheryn (Richard) Holt of Clemmons, North Carolina; two brothers, James Eskew and Ray Eskew, both of Huntingdon; three sisters, Leona Chandler and Ruth Bennett, both of Huntingdon, and Estelle Rosser of Clarksburg; four grandchildren, Rick Holt of Winston-Salem, North Carolina, Jenny Holt Garwood of Lewisburg, North Carolina, and Mark Eskew and Jeff Whitbourne, both of Memphis; and four great-grandchildren.





Carlos Adron married Aline PUGH, daughter of William E. PUGH & Nevada BOWDEN. Born on 15 Apr 1921 in Carroll County, Tennessee. At the age of 83, Aline died in Bruceton, Carroll County, Tennessee on 1 Nov 2004. Buried on 3 Nov 2004 in Long Rock Cemetery, Carroll County, Tennessee.

Obituary: CLARKSBURG: Services for Aline Eskew, 83, were conducted on Wednesday, November 3 at 2:00 p.m. at the Dilday Funeral Home East Visitation Room with Brother Wayne Holmes officiating. Interment followed in Long Rock Cemetery. She died on Monday, November 1 at the Life Care Center in Bruceton. Mrs. Eskew was born April 15, 1921 in Carroll County to the late William E. and Nevada Bowden Pugh. She was a homemaker, a lifelong member of Long Rock Methodist Church and a member of the Eastern Star. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carlos A. Eskew. She was preceded in death by a brother, James T. Guill. Survivors include two daughters, Katheryn Holt of Clemmons, North Carolina and Janet Eskew Whitbourne of Charlotte, North Carolina; one son, William C. Eskew of Grapevine, Texas; one sister, Mildred Holmes of Huntingdon; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

They had the following children:
i. William. Resided in Grapevine, Texas in Nov 2001. Resided in Grapevine, Texas in Nov 2004.

99. James Thomas ESKEW. Born on 25 Sep 1917. Resided in Huntingdon, Carroll County, Tennessee on 3 Nov .

James Thomas married Frances GOODRUM, daughter of Joseph Hersie GOODRUM (1892-1986) & Edna Mae WOOTERS (1900-2002). Resided in Huntingdon, Carroll County, Tennessee in Jul 2002.

They had the following children:
i. Tommy.

ii. Paula.

Paula married Buddy LEACH.


100. Hulon Martin ESKEW. Born on 16 Apr 1920 in Carroll County, Tennessee. At the age of 76, Hulon Martin died on 3 Feb 1997. Buried in 1997 in Palmer Shelter Cemetery, Carroll County, Tennessee.

On 22 Dec 1945 when Hulon Martin was 25, he married Mary Odean DILL (62) , daughter of John William DILL (27) (1870-1961) & Mary Etta CRIDER (1879-1972). Born on 5 Sep 1920 in Carroll County, Tennessee. Resided in District 12, Carroll County, Tennessee in 1930.

They had the following children:

101. Frances Leona ESKEW. Born on 9 Sep 1926. Resided in Huntingdon, Carroll County, Tennessee on 3 Nov .

Frances Leona married T.C. CHANDLER, son of Thomas Claude CHANDLER & Maggie Lee WOODS. Resided in Huntingdon, Carroll County, Tennessee in Jan 2004.

They had one child:
i. Linda.

102. Edith Estelle ESKEW. Born on 3 Feb 1930 in Carroll County, Tennessee. At the age of 73, Edith Estelle died in Huntingdon, Carroll County, Tennessee on 7 Nov 2003. Buried on 9 Nov 2003 in Sellers Cemetery, Clarksburg, 13th District, Carroll County, Tennessee.

Obituary: Edith Estelle Rosser, 73, retired cook, died Friday at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Huntingdon. Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Chase Funeral Home in Huntingdon with burial in Seller Hill Cemetery. She was a member of Clarksburg Church of Christ. Mrs. Rosser, the wife of James Rosser, also leaves a daughter, Beth Garrott of Nashville; a son, Steve Rosser of Clarksburg; two sisters, Ruth Bennett and Leona Chandler, and two brothers, James Eskew and Ray Eskew, all of Huntingdon, and five grandchildren.

Edith Estelle married James ROSSER, son of Geter Grover Cleveland ROSSER (1886-1968) & Hattie Mae PENDERGRASS (1889-1972). Born in 1925 in Carroll County, Tennessee. Resided in District 13, Carroll County, Tennessee in 1930.

They had the following children:

103. Ruth Imogene ESKEW. Born on 22 Aug 1934. Resided in Huntingdon, Carroll County, Tennessee on 3 Nov .

Ruth Imogene married Earl Audrain BENNETT, son of Horace Lee BENNETT (1896-1975) & Euvie Hatton OATSVALL (1896-1992). Born on 26 Jul 1927 in Carroll County, Tennessee.

They had the following children:

ii. Timothy Alan. Born on 12 Mar 1966.
