Obituary: Kenny Smothers, 48, of Huntingdon, died Monday, March 27, at the Methodist LeBonheur Hospital in Jackson. Services were held at 1 p.m. Thursday, March 30, in the Chapel of Dilday Funeral Home. Burial followed in the Christian Chapel Cemetery. Mr. Smothers, the son of the late Robert George and Minnie Dill Smothers, was born October 4, 1951, in Carroll County. He is survived by four sisters, Ruby Carroll and Bonnie Smothers, both of Huntingdon, Barbara Kee of Leach, and Sandy Spence of Nashville; three brothers, Tim Smothers and Jim Smothers, both of Huntingdon, and Wendell Smothers of Richmond, Illinois.
