Family of Mary Edna DILL (29) & John Allen MERRIT

64. Vera Lizzie MERRIT. Born on 20 Oct 1908 in Mangum, Oklahoma. At the age of 94, Vera Lizzie died in Marvell, Arkansas on 30 Nov 2002. Buried on 2 Dec 2003 in Marvell Cemetery, Marvell, Arkansas.

On 16 Nov 1924 when Vera Lizzie was 16, she married Elbert Lee WHITSON, in Franklin County, Arkansas. Born on 7 Jan 1906. At the age of 89, Elbert Lee died on 21 Aug 1995.

They had the following children:
i. Wilburn Douglas. Born on 5 Feb 1927 in Cross County, Arkansas.
97 ii. Woodard Ray (1939-)
