154. Barton B. LAWS. Born on 22 Sep 1900. At the age of 93, Barton B. died in Nov 1993.

Barton conducted mission work in Mississippi, Tennessee, Kentucky and Georgia. His foreign missionary service included Sierra Leone and West Africa.. He taught high school 1927-1931.

On 12 Aug 1922 when Barton B. was 21, he first married Jessie JAMISON. Born on 8 Aug 1897. At the age of 30, Jessie died on 15 Jun 1928.

On 28 Nov 1929 when Barton B. was 29, he second married Vivian PACK. Born on 28 Dec 1907. At the age of 73, Vivian died on 22 Aug 1981.

They had the following children:

On 2 Oct 1982 when Barton B. was 82, he third married Geneva Stanford FOOTE. Born on 11 Nov 1910. At the age of 71, Geneva Stanford died in 1982.

155. Mamie LAWS. Born on 22 Nov 1902 in Carroll County, Tennessee. At the age of 80, Mamie died in 1983.

On 8 Dec 1920 when Mamie was 18, she married Lusky DILL. Born on 2 Aug 1893. At the age of 83, Lusky died in 1977.

156. Edith Adell LAWS. Born on 12 Jan 1905 in Carroll County, Tennessee. At the age of 93, Edith Adell died in Huntingdon, Carroll County, Tennessee on 19 Apr 1998. Buried in 1998 in Sellers Hill Cemetery, Clarksburg, Carroll County, Tennessee. Occupation: Homemaker. Religion: Church of Christ.

On 24 Jan 1926 when Edith Adell was 21, she married Lewis Augdon PENDERGRASS, son of James Steven PENDERGRASS (1860-1943) & Martha Jane RIGSBY (1860-1937). Born in Apr 1894 in Carroll County, Tennessee. At the age of 84, Lewis Augdon died in Atwood, Tennessee on 27 Jul 1978. Buried in 1978 in Sellers Hill Cemetery, Clarksburg, Carroll County, Tennessee. Occupation: Carpenter. Religion: Church of Christ.

Obituary: Lewis A. Pendergrass, 84, retired carpenter, died at his home in Atwood, on July 27, 1978. Funeral services were held on July 28 at 4 p.m. at the Church of Christ in Clarksburg with Jesse Pinkley and Clifford Lyons, ministers officiating. Burial was in Sellers Cemetery. Dilday Funeral Home was in charge. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Edith Laws Pendergrass; two daughters, Mrs. Marjorie Perkins of Lavinia and Ms. Robbie Sue Webb of Memphis; two sons, Wilfred Pendergrass of Memphis and Doyle Pendergrass of Burns, Tenn; eight grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren, one brother, Ava Pendergrass of Clarksburg and one sister, Mrs. Florence Brandon of Clarksburg. Mr. Pendergrass was a member of the Church of Christ. His parents were James and Martha Jane Rigsby Pendergrass.

157. Alma Elaine LAWS. Born on 14 Feb 1907 in Carroll County, Tennessee. At the age of 84, Alma Elaine died in Henderson County, Tennessee on 28 Jun 1991. Buried in 1991 in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Henderson County, Tennessee.

On 18 Jun 1927 when Alma Elaine was 20, she married Valous Council BUSH, son of Daniel Joseph BUSH (1879-1955) & Nancy Jane COFFMAN (1867-1943), in Carroll County, Tennessee. Born on 7 Aug 1904 in Tennessee. At the age of 64, Valous Council died in Henderson County, Tennessee on 7 Aug 1968. Buried in 1968 in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Henderson County, Tennessee.

158. Floy Lucinda LAWS. Born on 2 Jun 1909. At the age of 92, Floy Lucinda died in Selmer, McNairy County, Tennessee on 5 Dec 2001. Buried in Dec 2001 in Sellers Hill Cemetery, Clarksburg, Carroll County, Tennessee.

Obituary: Mrs. Floy Laws Rushing, 92, of Clarksburg died Wednesday, December 5, 2001, at the Methodist Hospital in Selmer. Funeral Services will be conducted on Friday, December 7, 2001, at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Dilday Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Sellers Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Rushing was a homemaker and a member of the Clarksburg Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband, Luther Rushing, who died in 1994.
She is survived by a daughter, Eloise Ross of Nashville; three sons, George Rushing of Hendersonville, Laws Rushing of Finger, and Frank Rushing of Dyer.

Obituary: Floy Rushing, 93,died on Wednesday, December 5 at Methodist Hospital in Selmer. Services were conducted on Friday, December 7 at the Dilday Funeral Home in Huntingdon. She was born June 2, 1909. She was preceded in death by her husband, Luther Cecil Rushing in 1994; her parents, John S. and Emma Laws, all of Clarksburg; a brother, Barton Laws of Nashville; by sisters Mamie Dill of Huntingdon, Elaine Bush of Lexington and Edith Pendergrass of Atwood; and a granddaughter, Janet Ross of Nashville.
Survivors include a brother, Dwayne W. Laws of Bowling Green, Kentucky; a daughter, Eloise (Carl) Ross of Nashville; three sons, George Earl (Charlene) Rushing of Hendersonville; Laws (Marilyn) Rushing of Finger; and Frank (Debbie) Rushing of Dyers; grandchildren Mrs. Betsy Ketsdever of Nashville; Brian Ross of Nashville, Daphne Kirby of Nashville, Marty Rushing of Hendersonville, Mrs. Michell Avery of Talors, South Carolina, Mrs. Sonya Taylor of Bethel Springs, Dwayne Rushing and Laws Rushing, Jr. of Murfreesboro and great-grandsons William Zane Taylor of Bethel Springs and Nathan Ketsdever of Nashville and a great-granddaughter, Rachel Faith of Talors, South Carolina.

In 1929 when Floy Lucinda was 19, she married Luther RUSHING. Born on 2 Mar 1907. At the age of 87, Luther died on 8 Jul 1994.

iv. Frankie Wayne. Born on 10 Mar 1949. Resided in Dyer, Dyer County, Tennessee in Dec 2001.

159. Dwayne Wesley LAWS. Born on 14 Dec 1916.

Dwayne Wesley married Ruby HILLIARD, daughter of Ben W. HILLIARD & Colie BROWN (1884-1954). Born in 1919 in Carroll County, Tennessee. At the age of 81, Ruby died in Bowling Green, Kentucky on 14 May 2000. Buried on 16 May 2000 in Fairview Cemetery, Bowling Green, Kentucky.

Obituary: Ruby Hilliard Laws, 81, of Bowling Green, Kentucky, died Sunday, May 14, at the Medical Center. Graveside services were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 16, at Fairview Cemetery. Johnson-Vaughn Funeral Home of Bowling Green, Kentucky, was in charge of the arrangements. Mrs. Laws was born in Carroll County to the late Ben and Colie Brown Hilliard. She was a homemaker and a member of Twelfth Street Church of Christ. She is survived by her husband, Dwayne Laws; a daughter, Marla Flannery of Houston, Texas; three grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

They had one child:
i. Marla Kay.
