30. Martha J. GOOCH. Born about 1820 in Tennessee. Resided in House # 1536, Carroll County, Tennessee in 1850. On 31 Jan 1839 when Martha J. was 19, she married Doctor Albert Gallatin HILL, in Carroll County, Tennessee. Born in 1813 in Williamson County, Tennessee. At the age of 80, Albert Gallatin died in Carroll County, Tennessee in 1893. Resided in House # 1536, Carroll County, Tennessee in 1850. Resided in 13th District, Carroll County, Tennessee in 1870. Lived in house 1536, 13th District, during the 1850 Carroll County, Census. They had the following children:
31. Pinkney Y GOOCH. Born on 17 Mar 1820. At the age of 24, Pinkney Y died on 16 Aug 1844. Buried in Aug 1844 in New Hope Cemetery, Yuma, Carroll County, Tennessee. Pinkney Y married Elizabeth ?. Born on 13 Mar 1823. At the age of 81, Elizabeth died on 29 Jun 1904. Buried in Jun 1904 in New Hope Cemetery, Yuma, Carroll County, Tennessee. They had one child:

On 17 Nov 1853 when Mary Ann was 28, she second married Samuel JAMISON Senior, in Carroll County, Tennessee. Born in 1805 in Tennessee. At the age of 55, Samuel died in Carroll County, Tennessee in 1860. Samuel Jamison (Jimmerson) was living in house 1541, District 14, during the 1850 Carroll County Census. Will: I Samuel Jamerson do make and publish this as my last will and testament hereby revoking and making void all other wills by me at any time made. First I direct that funeral Expenses & all my debts be paid as soon after my death as possible out of any monies that I may die possessed of or may first come into the hands of my Executors. Secondly I give and bequeath unto my son Thomas H. Jamerson one negro boy named Alge and one hundred acres of land off of the Horn tract one horse saddle & bridle Ten or twelve hogs one bed and bed stead one cow & calf. Thirdly I give and bequeath to my Daughter Susan S. Darnall and her bodily heirs two negro girls one named Emely who has a child and the other a boy named Jordon two horses one bed and furniture six or eight head of hogs two cows and calves reserving unto Thos. H. Jamerson and M. W. Sedberry six hundred and twenty Dollars worth of the above property or of her proportional part of the estate providing that John D. Darnell should fail to pay the same debts they are bound for. Fourthly I give and bequeath to my daughter Martha J. Sadberry two negro girls Crease and Caroline and bed and furniture two head of horses six Eight or ten head of hogs Two cows & calves. 5th. I give and bequeath to my grand child Robert Murphy Two negro girls Jane and Francis one of which has since give off has died to be made equal with the other children in the advancement with the exception of the horses and I want him at the age of fifteen years old to have a horse saddle and Bridle with seventy fie or an Hundred Dollars. Sixthly I give and bequeath unto my son Robert L. Jamison Isaac a negro man and Waid a negro woman two horses ten or twelve head of hogs two cows and calves Seventhly I give and bequath unto my Daughter Victoria Jamerson two negro girls named Sarah and Milla and to be made equal in the other advancements with those who have received the same. I give and bequeath unto my two Eightly. younger children Patrick H. Jamerson and Samuel Jamerson to P. H. Jamerson I give negro boy George and to Samuel Jamerson I give negro girl Manena and to receive the same advancements of those having reced the same Any my wife to receive the above property during her natural life or during her widowhood or until they above named children should become Twenty one years of age then to go to the children. It is also my will and desire that after paying all my just debts that the balance of my property shall be equally divided among all of my children taking into consideration the advancements heretofore given off and receive by the children receiving them. Lastly. I do hereby nominate and appoint I. R. Hawkins Thos. G. Aven Albert G. Hill my Executors In witness whereof I hereunto set my hand and seal this the 2nd day of May 1860. 33. Frances M. GOOCH. Born on 28 Dec 1828 in North Carolina. At the age of 34, Frances M. died on 13 Apr 1863. Buried in Apr 1863 in Mount Comfort Cemetery, Carroll County, Tennessee. Resided in 14th District, Carroll County, Tennessee in 1860. Alias/AKA: "Fannie". Frances M. married Robert H. HALL, son of Edward HALL (1782-) & Clarimon MORRIS (1784-). Born on 28 Feb 1820 in Virginia. At the age of 89, Robert H. died on 10 Jan 1910. Buried in Jan 1910 in Mount Comfort Cemetery, Carroll County, Tennessee. They had the following children:
34. Rufus Coleman GOOCH. Born on 2 Sep 1830 in Carroll County, Tennessee. At the age of 74, Rufus Coleman died in Tennessee on 22 Mar 1905. Military: Rufus Gooch served in the civil war in the Twelfth Tennessee Cavalry, under Col. Wilson, and was at Brice's Cross Roads, Harrisburg, and was with Forrest during his first campaign in Tennessee. He was captured once and was paroled. Autobiography: Rufus C. Gooch, farmer, was born in Carroll County, Tenn., September 2, 1830. [For history of parents, see sketch of Capt. J. C. Gooch.] He was reared on a farm and received a common school education. He was married in Henderson County, Tenn., February 20, 1856, to Elizabeth C. Gordon, daughter of W. W. Gordon, farmer, and native of West Point, Va. The following are Mr. and Mrs. Gooch's children: Angus, born November 20, 1856; Florence E., born February 22, 1850; S. P. (deceased January 9, 1876), born November 15, 1863; Eva E., born October 22, 1875, and Eunice, born March 6, 1879. Mrs. Gooch was born in Henderson County, Tenn., November 16, 1837. Mr. Gooch served in the late war in the Twelfth Tennessee Cavalry, under Col. Wilson, and was at Brice's Cross Roads, Harrisburg, and was with Forrest during his first campaign in Tennessee. He was captured once and was paroled. He is a Democrat, and he and wife are members of the Missionary Baptist Church. He owns sixty-five acres of land, and has a pleasant and comfortable home On 20 Feb 1856 when Rufus Coleman was 25, he married Elizabeth GORDON, daughter of William Wesley GORDON (1801-1870) & Emily MORGAN (1814-), in Henderson County, Tennessee. Born on 16 Nov 1837 in Henderson County, Tennessee. At the age of 78, Elizabeth died in Tennessee on 22 Dec 1915. They had the following children:
35. Rianna GOOCH. Born in 1834 in Tennessee. On 18 Dec 1850 when Rianna was 16, she married Alfred MORGAN, son of William M MORGAN (1791-) & Mary GORDON (1793-), in Carroll County, Tennessee. Born in 1829 in Henderson County, Tennessee. Buried in 1850 in 9th District, Henderson County, Tennessee. Resided in 14th District, Carroll County, Tennessee in Oct 1860. They had the following children:
36. Milerett GOOCH. Born in 1835. In 1853 when Milerett was 18, she married A.H. MONTAGUE, in Carroll County, Tennessee. Born in 1831 in Tennessee. They had the following children:
37. Isabella GOOCH. Born in 1837 in Tennessee. Resided in 14th District, Carroll County, Tennessee in 1860. Isabella married George L GORDON, son of William Wesley GORDON (1801-1870) & Emily MORGAN (1814-). Born in 1836 in Tennessee. They had one child:
38. Captain James Cozart GOOCH. Born on 26 May 1842 in Carroll County, Tennessee. At the age of 69, James Cozart died in Madison County, Tennessee on 20 Oct 1911. Resided in 14th District, Carroll County, Tennessee in 1850. Resided in 14th District, Carroll County, Tennessee in 1860. Military: J.C. Gooch joined the Confederate Army and went out as second lieutenant of Company I, Twenty-seventh Tennessee Infantry, under Col. Kit Williams. He was elected first lieutenant after the battle of Shiloh, but in the latter part of 1862 was discharged on account of disability, and was authorized to raise a company of cavalry. He became captain of the company, and joined Forrest's command in 1863. He participated in many hotly contested battles, and was surrendered at Gainesville, Ala., in 1865. Capt. J. C. Gooch was born in Carroll County, Tenn., May 26, 1842, son of Rowland Gooch, who was born in North Carolina in 1797. After attaining his majority, the father married Hannah Cozart, also of North Carolina. In 1822 he came to Tennessee, locating in Maury County, and became the father of five sons and seven daughters, our subject being the youngest of the family. Rowland Gooch was a farmer and died at his home in Madison County (where he located in 1866) in December, 1873. His widow died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Howard, in July, 1883. J. C. Gooch attended school until nineteen years of age; then joined the Confederate Army and went out as second lieutenant of Company I, Twenty-seventh Tennessee Infantry, under Col. Kit Williams. February 24, 1869, he wedded Cordelia R. White, daughter of A. M. White, a farmer and cotton merchant. To Mr. and Mrs. Gooch were born the following children: Arthur M. (deceased October 1, 1878,), Hattie L., George R. and James T., born February 8, 1870; March 17, 1872; April 18, 1874, and January 19, 1876, respectively. Mrs. Gooch was born in Maury County, Tenn., August 6, 1849. Mr. Gooch is a Democrat, and he and wife are members of the Missionary Baptist Church. He owns 546 acres of land, and gives his chief attention to cotton raising. On 24 Feb 1869 when James Cozart was 26, he married Cordelia R WHITE, daughter of Archelous M. WHITE & Harriet Daniel BRYANT, in Carroll County, Tennessee. Born on 6 Aug 1849 in Collenka, Maury County, Tennessee. At the age of 68, Cordelia R died in Madison County, Tennessee on 28 May 1918. They had the following children:
