Family of John PEARSON (12) & Ruth Eveline PARKER On 13 Feb 1889 when Melvina Elizabeth was 19, she married James Robert DENNISON, son of Washington H DENNISON (1837-1906) & Martha Jane FULLER (1847-1932). Born on 9 Nov 1866 in Tennessee. At the age of 88, James Robert died in Henderson County, Tennessee on 11 Oct 1955. Resided in Jackson, Madison County, Tennessee in 1943. They had the following children:
33. Walter C. PEARSON. Born on 24 Nov 1871 in Henderson County, Tennessee. At the age of 57, Walter C. died in Henderson County, Tennessee on 25 Apr 1929. Buried in 1929 in Lexington Cemetery, Henderson County, Tennessee. Obituary: Walter Pearson Died Suddenly; One of Lexington's Most Valuable Citizens to His Reward: Walter Caswell Pearson, aged 57 years, a lifelong and leading citizen of Henderson County and Lexington, died suddenly at his home here April 26, 1929, his death being attributed to heart failure. Mr. Pearson was born within four miles of Lexington and had spent practically of his life in Henderson County where he was engaged in farming and the gin business. Several years ago he and his brother, P. P. Pearson, purchased the W. J. Johnson ginning interests in Jackson and operated the large gin and also a gin at Timberlake. In addition to his brother, Priest P. Pearson, he is survived by another brother, Leo H. Pearson, and a sister , Mrs. Ethel Enochs of Jackson. He was the son of the late John and Evelyn Parker Pearson. He married Miss Ella Howard, daughter of the late R.W. and Lula Henry Howard of Lexington on March 4th, 1896, and to this union three children were born, all of whom survive; Samuel Howard Pearson, now in business in Lexington; Miss Evelyn Pearson of the First National Bank, and Mrs. J. M. (Lula) Pickens. His wife passed away to her heavenly reward July 29th, 1925, and he was married on December 31st, 1926, to Mrs. Eula Hood Phillips of Murray, Kentucky, who survives him. Mr. Pearson was a member of the Methodist Episocal Church, South at Lexington, was prominently identified with the civic and agricultural interests of the county and was active in the affairs of the Democratic Party of his county, having managed the campaign of Gov. Horton last fall. Funeral services were conducted at the Methodist Church by Rev. W.C. Waters, pastor, interment in the Lexington Cemetery. On 4 Mar 1896 when Walter C. was 24, he married Ella HOWARD, daughter of Richard William HOWARD (1849-1929) & Lula HENRY. Born on 3 Oct 1874 in Madison County, Tennessee. At the age of 50, Ella died on 25 Jul 1925. Buried in 1925 in Lexington Cemetery, Henderson County, Tennessee. Obituary: Goes to Her Reward: Lexington has never had a sadder or more lamented death than that of Mrs. W.C. Pearson, which occurred July 28th, following an operation for gallstones, with which disease the patient had suffered at irregular intervals for years. Ella, daughter of R.W. and Lula Howard, was born in Madison County, October 3rd, 1875, but most of her life was spent in Henderson County. March 4, 1896, she was most happily married to Walter C. Pearson and the three children who blessed the union survive, Sam Howard, Evelyn and Lula May. The remains were brought to Lexington for burial in Lexington Cemetery, Pastor W.L. Suggs officiating. They had the following children:
34. Priestly Peter PEARSON , Senior. Born on 21 Mar 1874 in Henderson County, Tennessee. At the age of 80, Priestly Peter died in Henderson County, Tennessee on 9 Apr 1954. Buried in 1954 in Lexington Cemetery, Henderson County, Tennessee. Occupation: Cotton Ginner and farmer. Alias/AKA: "Priest". On 24 Nov 1907 when Priestly Peter was 33, he married Ida SANDERS. Born in 1886. At the age of 75, Ida died in 1961. Buried in 1961 in Lexington Cemetery, Henderson County, Tennessee. They had the following children:
35. Ethel E. PEARSON. Born on 11 Feb 1877 in Henderson County, Tennessee. At the age of 75, Ethel E. died in Henderson County, Tennessee on 22 Jun 1952. Buried in Jun 1952 in Lexington Cemetery, Lexington, Henderson County, Tennessee. On 28 Feb 1894 when Ethel E. was 17, she married James Wiley ENOCHS, son of William T. ENOCHS (1832-1869) & Sarah Estelle BROWN (1839-1889). Born on 15 Oct 1867 in Carroll County, Tennessee. At the age of 53, James Wiley died in Lexington, Henderson County, Tennessee on 15 Oct 1920. Buried in Oct 1920 in Lexington Cemetery, Lexington, Henderson County, Tennessee. They had the following children:
36. Leo Howard PEARSON Senior. Born in 1881 in Henderson County, Tennessee. At the age of 54, Leo Howard died in Jackson, Madison County, Tennessee on 15 Aug 1935. Buried in 1935 in Lexington Cemetery, Lexington, Henderson County, Tennessee. On 10 May 1910 when Leo Howard was 29, he married Estell HARDIN. Born in 1881. At the age of 70, Estell died in 1951.
