On 30 Mar 1930 when Daniel was 34, he second married Retha Frances HEDGE, daughter of John Wesley HEDGE (1877-1936) & Annie SARRATT (1878-1917), in Carroll County, Tennessee. Born on 12 Jun 1904 in Shiloh, Carroll County, Tennessee. At the age of 94, Retha Frances died in Huntingdon, Carroll County, Tennessee on 16 Feb 1999. Buried in Feb 1999 in Palestine Cemetery, Carroll County, Tennessee. Occupation: Homemaker. Religion: New Liberty Baptist Church, Carroll County, Tennessee. Obituary: Retha Francis Collins, 94, of Huntingdon, died Tuesday, February 16, at the Huntingdon Health and Rehabilitation Center. Services were held on Friday, February 19, at Dilday Funeral Home. Burial followed in the Palestine Cemetery. Rev. Pete Kirby officiated. The grandsons served as pallbearers. Mrs. Collins, the daughter of the late John and Annie Sarratt Hedge, was born June 12, 1904, in Shiloh. She was the widow of Dan Collins, a homemaker, member of the New Liberty Baptist Church, and the RSVP. She is survived by two daughters, Annie Middleton of Erin and Sylvia Leslie of Tennessee Ridge; two sons, John H. Woodard of Nashville and William Collins of Clarksburg; 11 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and a great-great grandson. They had the following children:
