Family of Mary Ann MEALS (21) & Jesse SUMMERS

50. Thomas Holloway SUMMERS. Born on 23 Jul 1826 in Madison County, Alabama. At the age of 89, Thomas Holloway died in Nacogdoches County, Texas on 27 Jan 1916. Buried in 1916 in Old North Church Cemetery, Nacogdoches County, Texas. Thomas Holloway served Thomas H. was a Confederate Veteran having enlisted 1 January 1862 in Company G., 12th Texas Infantry Regiment. Alias/AKA: "Tom".

On 5 Nov 1846 when Thomas Holloway was 20, he married Talitha Martha POWER, daughter of Holloway POWER & Elizabeth ADAMS, in Madison County, Alabama. Buried in Old North Church Cemetery, Nacogdoches County, Texas.

They had the following children:
84 i. Jesse Holloway (1848-1933)
85 ii. John Franklin (1850-1921)
86 iii. William Thomas (1855-)
87 iv. Mary E. (1859-1927)
v. Sallie. Born on 8 Feb 1861 in Nacogdoches County, Texas. At the age of 27, Sallie died in Nacogdoches County, Texas on 2 Aug 1888.

vi. James R.. Born on 1 Jan 1863 in Nacogdoches County, Texas. At the age of 1, James R. died in Nacogdoches County, Texas on 22 Jan 1864.

88 vii. Alphie Callie (1865-1928)

Tom and Talitha moved to Texas in December 1851. Both joined the Old North Church in Nacogdoches County in September 1852.
