Johnny Davis married Doris Jane OWENS, daughter of James LaVonne OWENS (1933-1999) & A. Z. STANFORD (1931-). Born on 11 May 1954 in Henderson County, Tennessee.

They had the following children:
i. Denison Jay. Born on 17 Oct 1973.
ii. Misty Dawn. Born on 18 Nov 1980. At the age of 12, Misty Dawn died on 2 Jan 1993. Buried in 1993 in Pine Grove Cemetery, Henderson County, Tennessee.
iii. Jake Donelson. Born on 19 Mar 1986.
