Newton Howell married Sammie Lucille HOLLAND. Born in 1918. At the age of 78, Sammie Lucille died in Henderson County, Tennessee on 21 Mar 1996.

They had the following children:

Sandra married Gary MORRIS.

Jerry Taylor married Ruby KOLYWICK. Born in Henderson County, Tennessee.
