Obituary: Miles Meales, age 80, died Sept 9 after a long illness. Funeral services were held at the Church of the Nazarene in Caruthersville, Mo. and burial in Caruthersville Cemetery. He was born and reared in Henderson County near Bargerton. He moved to Missouri in 1931. He was a farmer and later worked for Brown Shoe Company. He leaves his wife, Lee Byrd Meales; five sons; Tomas H. Meales of Michigan City, Ind., Hershel W. Meales of Milan, TN., Jissie A. (Doug) Meales, Hubert (Pete) Meales of Caruthersville, Mo., Albert T. Meales with the Air Force, San Antonio; one daughter, Hazel Reno of Caruthersville, MO; 17 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers, Bill and Basil Meals of Cedar Grove; five sisters, May Springer of Memphis, Annie Tate of Bernie, MO., Hester Harron of Steel, MO, Willie Barr of Cedar Grove, and Beatrice Coffman of Cedar Grove. On 6 Dec 1920 when Miles Bryant was 19, he married Mattie Lenora BYRD, in Henderson County, Tennessee. Alias/AKA: "Lee". They had the following children:
111. James Otha MEALS. Born on 26 Nov 1902. At the age of 62, James Otha died in Henderson County, Tennessee on 20 Jul 1965. Buried in 1965 in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Henderson County, Tennessee. Alias/AKA: "Jim". On 14 May 1922 when James Otha was 19, he married Ruth M. COFFMAN (74) , daughter of Thomas Jefferson COFFMAN (26) (1868-1939) & Ethel Comet SMITH (1883-1941), in Henderson County, Tennessee. Born in 1904. At the age of 88, Ruth M. died in 1992. Buried in 1992 in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Henderson County, Tennessee. They had the following children:
112. Mae Luella MEALS. Born on 20 Mar 1905. At the age of 84, Mae Luella died in Henderson County, Tennessee on 20 Apr 1989. Buried in 1989 in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Henderson County, Tennessee. Resided in Memphis, Shelby County, Tennessee in 1981. On 9 Jan 1925 when Mae Luella was 19, she married Hobert Sidney SPRINGER, son of John D. SPRINGER Senior (1870-1946) & Mary C. DOUGLAS (1870-1936), in Henderson County, Tennessee. Born on 26 Apr 1897. At the age of 70, Hobert Sidney died in May 1967. Buried in 1967 in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Henderson County, Tennessee. 116. Willie Raymelle MEALS. Born in 1912 in Henderson County, Tennessee. At the age of 85, Willie Raymelle died in Henderson County, Tennessee on 20 Sep 1997. Willie Raymelle married Henry Larrymore BARR, son of John Franklin BARR (1881-1955) & Jennie Ann WALLER (1879-1930). Born on 19 Oct 1910. At the age of 67, Henry Larrymore died in Henderson County, Tennessee in Feb 1978. Buried in 1978 in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Henderson County, Tennessee. They had the following children:

118. Lizzie Beatrice MEALS. Born on 2 Jun 1919 in Tennessee. At the age of 80, Lizzie Beatrice died in Lexington, Henderson County, Tennessee on 14 Feb 2000. Buried in Feb 2000 in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Henderson County, Tennessee. Resided in Cedar Grove, Tennessee in 1981. Obituary: Services for Beatrice Coffman, 80, of Cedar Grove, were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, February 15, at Reed's Chapel in Lexington. Burial followed in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Cedar Grove. Mrs. Coffman, a homemaker, died Monday, February 14, at Lexington Methodist of heart disease. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry (Fuzz) Coffman. She is survived by a daughter and a son, Murlene Hall of Cedar Grove and Ralph Coffman of Wildersville. On 24 Nov 1935 when Lizzie Beatrice was 16, she married James Henry COFFMAN (157) , son of Francis Ivie COFFMAN (61) (1886-1950) & Sarah Jane RAINEY (1892-1975), in Henderson County, Tennessee. Born on 1 Nov 1912 in Henderson County, Tennessee. At the age of 78, James Henry died in Henderson County, Tennessee on 24 Mar 1991. Buried in 1991 in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Henderson County, Tennessee. Alias/AKA: "Fuzz". They had the following children:
