Visitation will be from 6:30 to 8:30PM Friday, October 5, 2007 at Restland Funeral Home. On 15 Jun 2002 when Ivy Allison was 25, she married Sammy HEJAZI, son of Hasan HEJAZI Doctor, in 13th District, Carroll County, Tennessee. They were divorced.
Marriage Announcement: Ivy Allison Staggs and Sammy Hejazi were married June 15 at Flake-Kee Acres in Carroll County. The ceremony on the lawn was officiated by the minister Len O'Bryant at the historical homeplace circa 1854 of the bride's maternal grandmother. The wedding was followed by dinner in a tulle-covered tent down by the cedars with a bluegrass band, horses and fireworks under the moon. Ivy represents the seventh generation and is the first grandchild to ever marry on the grounds of the homeplace. Ivy and Sammy were both able to enjoy reunions with a host of relatives from their respective families. Ivy is the daughter of Melanie Porter White and her stepfather, the late Benjamin D. White, III, of Richardson, Texas, and Dr. and Mrs. Franklin Staggs of Nashville. She graduated in 1999 from Texas Women's University and is in telecommunications sales. Sammy is the son of Jamila Hejazi of Cookeville and Dr. Hasan Hejazi of Nashville. He graduated in 1989 from Tennessee Technical University and is an electrical engineer and shareholder in a communications firm. The bride wore a shoulderless white gown of a hand-sewn pearl sequined corset and an elbow length snood veil with a choker of pearls. Her bouquet consisted of all white roses. The maids of honor were her younger sisters, Wendy and Lauren, who carried Francis Meilland Chicago Peace roses complimenting their long tearose silk skirts. Flower girls Carolyn Porter, Mariah Shaw and Nicole Fuquay wore long white dresses adorned with fairy wings. The best man was the groom's brother, Fred Hejazi. The groomsmen were Jim Shaw and Don Fuquay. The ringbearer was Benny Porter. Upon return from their honeymoon to the Mayan Rivera, the couple will reside in Plano, a suburb of Dallas, Texas.
