John Daniel TILSON Junior. Born in 1905 in Tennessee. At the age of 41, John Daniel died in New York, New York in 1946. Buried in 1946 in Henderson City Cemetery, Henderson, Chester County, Tennessee. Resided in District 1, Henderson County, Tennessee in 1920. Cause of death: Casualty of World War II.

Obituary: Funeral services for Staff Sgt. J.D. Tilson, Jr., who died suddenly in a New York hospital last Tuesday, were conducted at Moffit Funeral Home in Henderson, Sunday afternoon, Bro. Joe Cooke VanDyke officiating. Sgt. Tilson was stricken in New York where he was stationed. He died soon after first word of his illness reached his wife in Henderson. Sgt. Tilson was well known here, having lived in Lexington and Henderson County most of his life. He had worked as pharmicist here, Henderson and Bolivar. Survivors include his mother, Mrs. Grace Tilson; his father, J.D. Tilson, Sr., of Knoxville; his wife of Henderson and one son, Ben. Burial was in Henderson with military honors.

John Daniel married Mary WARD. Born on 4 Nov 1907. At the age of 89, Mary died on 1 Feb 1997. Buried in Feb 1997 in Henderson City Cemetery, Henderson, Chester County, Tennessee.

They had one child:
i. Ben. Resided in Henderson, Chester County, Tennessee in 1946.
