224. Joseph Cecil COFFMAN. Born on 9 Apr 1896 in Parkers Crossroads, Henderson County, Tennessee. At the age of 80, Joseph Cecil died on 24 Dec 1976. Buried in Dec 1976 in Parkers Crossroads Cemetery, Henderson County, Tennessee.

On 14 Nov 1915 when Joseph Cecil was 19, he married Louise Lona DOUGLAS, daughter of James Alexander DOUGLAS (1845-1926) & Harriet Emmaline BRAY (1852-1922). Born in 1897 in Henderson County, Tennessee. At the age of 92, Louise Lona died in 1989. Buried in 1989 in Parkers Crossroads Cemetery, Henderson County, Tennessee. Resided in 1st District, Henderson County, Tennessee in 1910.

ii. Cecil Clayton. Born on 7 Nov 1927. At the age of 64, Cecil Clayton died on 2 Jan 1992. Buried in Jan 1992 in Lexington City Cemetery, Lexington, Henderson County, Tennessee. Alias/AKA: "Pete".

Cecil Clayton married Elizabeth McPEAKE, daughter of Chester McPEAKE & Audia HAYES. Born in 1929.

225. Samuel Clarence COFFMAN. Born on 23 Jan 1898 in Henderson County, Tennessee. At the age of 34, Samuel Clarence died in Madison County, Tennessee on 18 Jul 1932. Buried in 1932 in Coffman Cemetery, Henderson County, Tennessee. Cause of death: Car wreck in Texas.

Obituary: Killed in car wreck: Clarence Coffman, who home is in the Rock Springs neighborhood, near Parker's Crossroads, was seriously injured and afterwards died from the effects of wounds received in a car collision which occurred last Friday afternoon as he was driving along the road between Jackson and Bemis. Jack Duncan of Jackson, who was in the car with him was slightly injured. Mr. Coffman was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Coffman of this county and leaves a wife and four small children. Funeral services were conducted at Rock Springs by Rev. G.W. Florence with burial in the Coffman Cemetery.

Obituary: Dies of Gunshot Wounds: Elmer Woodard, who was shot by Clarence Coffman on Wednesday night, August 25th, in the road in front of the Wiles place in the old 8th District, 12 or more miles northwest of Lexington, died Thursday night, August 26th. When Coffman was brought to town on the morning of August 26th by his father, Joe Coffman, it was not known how seriously Woodward was hurt, and Coffman was allowed to make a bond in the sum of $1500.00 for his appearance before a justice of the peace, for preliminary hearing, on August 30th. Of course the death of Woodward makes the case a much more serious one. We have had many friends among the Coffmans and in this case we are sorry for Joe, who has been trying to live right since he got out of trouble himself.

On 16 Mar 1919 when Samuel Clarence was 21, he married Rosie Edith THOMPSON, daughter of John T. THOMPSON (1864-1916) & Lula COBB (1883-1978). Born on 4 Jan 1903 in Carroll County, Tennessee. At the age of 98, Rosie Edith died in Huntingdon, Carroll County, Tennessee on 13 Mar 2001. Buried on 16 Mar 2001 in Coffman Cemetery, Henderson County, Tennessee. Resided in Bruceton, Carroll County, Tennessee in 1999.

Obituary: Rosie Edith Coffman, 98, of Cedar Grove, died Tuesday, March 13, at Baptist Memorial Hospital. Services were held at 2 p.m. Friday, March 16, at the the Dilday Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Robert Barger officiated. Burial followed in the Coffman Cemetery in Wildersville. Mrs. Coffman, the daughter of the late Tommy and Lula Cobb Thompson, was born January 4, 1903, in Carroll County. She was the widow of Samuel Clarence Coffman. She was also preceded in death by two sons, Edward Coffman and Dale Coffman; and two daughters, Ruth Coffman and Dorothy Eulene Sade. She is survived by two daughters, Sarah Hammers of Manchester and Edith Fry of Marion, South Carolina; a son, Tommy Coffman of Clarksville; and a sister, Jamie Clark of Cedar Grove.

v. Ruth Imogene. Born on 19 Mar 1927. At the age of 2, Ruth Imogene died in Henderson County, Tennessee on 26 Dec 1929. Buried in 1929 in Coffman Cemetery, Henderson County, Tennessee.

On 4 Sep 1919 when Willie Leslie was 19, she married Giles Albert HORTON, son of John Nathan HORTON & Ellen HARLAN. Born on 7 Oct 1896 in Milan, Gibson County, Tennessee. At the age of 90, Giles Albert died in Benton County, Tennessee on 17 Oct 1986. Resided in Milan, Gibson County, Tennessee. Occupation: Mail Carrier.

227. Onnis L. COFFMAN. Born on 11 May 1902 in Greenfield, Weakley County, Tennessee. At the age of 77, Onnis L. died on 16 Sep 1979. Buried in Sep 1979 in Parkers Crossroads Cemetery, Henderson County, Tennessee. Resided in Cedar Grove, Carroll County, Tennessee. Occupation: Sawmill.

On 20 Mar 1922 when Onnis L. was 19, he married Bertha V. ROBBINS. Born on 4 Sep 1903 in Greenfield, Weakley County, Tennessee. At the age of 91, Bertha V. died on 31 Aug 1995. Buried in Sep 1995 in Parkers Crossroads Cemetery, Parkers Crossroads, Henderson County, Tennessee. Resided in Cedar Grove, Carroll County, Tennessee.
