179. Lucy Dicy Ann TAYLOR. Born on 16 Jul 1888 in Henderson County, Tennessee. At the age of 53, Lucy Dicy Ann died in Carroll County, Tennessee on 23 Jun 1942. Buried in Jun 1942 in Wall Cemetery, Carroll County, Tennessee. Resided in First District, Henderson County, Tennessee in 1930.

Lucy Dicy Ann married Leburn WALL, son of Henry Clay WALL (1847-1914) & Dephia Ann FLAKE (1852-1934). Born on 2 Jul 1880 in Carroll County, Tennessee. At the age of 47, Leburn died in Carroll County, Tennessee on 29 Jun 1928. Buried in Jun 1928 in Wall Cemetery, Carroll County, Tennessee.

Home place was the Cecil Wall farm in Henderson County which was built by Leburn. Leburn traded farms with Cecil Wall and moved to Center Ridge (by Flakes Store), 13th District, Carroll County. Leburn lost his eyesight later on in life.

They had the following children:
i. Betty D.. Born on 8 May 1910. At the age of 25, Betty D. died on 6 Apr 1936. Buried in Apr 1936 in Wall Cemetery, Carroll County, Tennessee.

ii. Homer Clay. Born in 1916 in Tennessee. Resided in First District, Henderson County, Tennessee in 1930.

180. William Jessie TAYLOR. Born in 1890 in Henderson County, Tennessee. At the age of 83, William Jessie died in Carroll County, Tennessee in 1973. Buried in 1973 in Roans Creek Cemetery, Carroll County, Tennessee. Alias/AKA: "Jess".



William Jessie Taylor departed Tennessee for Texas on 29 May 1911 and returned on May 2, 1913

On 30 Jul 1912 when William Jessie was 22, he married Vera E. KEE, daughter of Charles William KEE (1873-1945) & Minnie L. PINCKLEY (1876-1911), in Henderson County, Tennessee. Born in 1894. At the age of 94, Vera E. died in Carroll County, Tennessee in 1988. Buried in 1988 in Roans Creek Cemetery, Carroll County, Tennessee. Resided in District 13, Carroll County, Tennessee in 1930.

The grandchildren of Vera Taylor observed her 93rd birthday with an open house on Sunday, September 20, from 2:00 p.m. unti 4:00 p.m. Friends, family and neighbors came by with gifts, cards, and Happy Birthday wishes. Punch, birthday cake, mints, and nuts were served. Those present were: Virginia Miller, Cheryl & Johnny Webb; Willet, Karen & Blake Coffman, Bargerton, Dianne, Kristen Altom, William & Ruth Pinckley, Thomas, Linda & Stephen Belew, Gaylon & Mary Sue Rush, Kim Cobb, James & Tip Taylor, Gordon & Larue Lindsey, Joelia Walker, LeAnn & Mike Fuller, Adrian & Melba Taylor, Donna Seagraves, Tammy Maness, all from Yuma. James & Odell Pinckley, Hollow Rock; Joe Pate and son, Jesse B. Pinckley, Vergie Mae Johnson, Bud, Joy & Luke Thompson, Jerry & Dorothy McGee, Nolen & Cornelia Grant, Charles Carolyn & Jimmy Lankford, Imogene Hill, Mary Williams, all from Huntingdon. Thelma Cox, J.D. & Beulah Long, McKenzie; Mr. & Mrs. Floyd Derryberry, Gail Walker, Jamima Myracle, Mr. & Mrs. Lawton Webb, all from Wildersville; Ray & Eunice Kee, Nashville, Vilet Barns, Iva Pritchard, Laluh Carnell, Mary Walls, May Pritchard, Clarksburg; Lorene & Butch Elliot, Trenton; Darlene & Ricky, Jackson; Verdie Wall, Medina; Edward, Mary, Joni & Jason Wall, Milan; Tony & Becky Williams, Mary & Howard Williams, Humboldt; Joe, Judy, Jamie, Jill Alexander, Pearl Pritchard, Coy & Dorothy Dryer, all from Lexington; Mr. & Mrs. Kenneth Wall and family, Jackson. Linda Abbott, of Yuma, and Mack & Willie Taylor came on the 18th. We thank the Lord for blessing us with such a grand lady as our Grandmother and letting us have her and our children getting to know her. We all love you, Grandmother. You gave us a good Christian example to live by. Donna, Brenda, Judy, Joe, Tony, Grandchildren. Tammy, Mike, Jamie, Jill, Leann, Renea, Mary, Joe, Jennifer, and Jessie, Great-Grandchildren. Valerie, Steve, Danny, Great-Great-Grandchildren. One grandson, Joe H. Taylor, and family were unable to attend.

They had the following children:
i. Mary Lee. Born in 1915 in Carroll County, Tennessee. Resided in District 13, Carroll County, Tennessee in 1930.

ii. Buelah. Born on 10 Mar 1917 in Carroll County, Tennessee. Resided in District 13, Carroll County, Tennessee in 1930.

Buelah married J. D. LONG. Born on 14 Feb 1911. At the age of 83, J. D. died on 23 Jun 1994. Buried in 1994 in Roans Creek Cemetery, Carroll County, Tennessee.

181. Leland Homer TAYLOR. Born on 20 Mar 1893 in Carroll County, Tennessee. At the age of 65, Leland Homer died in Carroll County, Tennessee on 6 Jan 1959. Buried in Jan 1959 in Parkers Crossroads Cemetery, Henderson County, Tennessee.

In 1914 when Leland Homer was 20, he married Cynthia Ann FLAKE, daughter of James Millard FLAKE (1849-1915) & Winnie E. KEE (1855-1933), in Carroll County, Tennessee. Born on 6 Jan 1896 in Carroll County, Tennessee. At the age of 81, Cynthia Ann died on 19 May 1977. Buried in May 1977 in Parkers Crossroads Cemetery, Henderson County, Tennessee.

182. Lanis TAYLOR. Born in 1897 in Henderson County, Tennessee. At the age of 52, Lanis died on 20 Nov 1949. Buried in Nov 1949 in Caffey Cemetery, Henderson County, Tennessee. Resided in Lexington, Henderson County, Tennessee in 1940.

Lanis Taylor Cunningham died of cancer at age 50.

Lanis married Walter Scott CUNNINGHAM. Born in 1873. At the age of 62, Walter Scott died in 1935. Buried in 1935 in Caffey Cemetery, Henderson County, Tennessee.

They had the following children:

Jean Cunningham died of cancer at age 40.

iii. Mary Vandell. Born on 17 Jan 1923 in Henderson County, Tennessee. At the age of 82, Mary Vandell died in Huntingdon, Carroll County, Tennessee on 27 Oct 2005. Buried on 29 Oct 2005 in McLemoresville Cemetery, McLemorseville, Carroll County, Tennessee.

Obituary: Mrs. Mary Vandell Cunningham Williams, 82, of Huntingdon, Tennessee passed away Thursday, October 27, 2005 at the Huntingdon Health and Rehabilitation Center. Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, October 29, 2005 at 1:00 PM in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the McLemoresville Cemetery. Rev. Dossie Wheatley and Dr. Paul Mullikin will officiate the service. Pallbearers who will serve are Scott Cunningham, Thomas Williams, Matthew Williams, and Benjamin Williams. Mrs. Williams was born January 17, 1923 in Henderson County, Tennessee to the late Walter S. Cunningham and Lannes (Taylor) Cunningham. She had retired at the age of 72, from the Health and Human Resources Department for the State of Tennessee. She was a member of the Huntingdon First United Methodist Church, Annie Maude Smith Circle Sunday School Class, and the Veterans Auxiliary. She was also preceded in death by her husband, John Wesley Williams, Jr., and a nephew, Van Cunningham. She is survived by two nephews, Mike Cunningham (wife Judy) of Lexington, Tom Douglas (wife Beth) of Fulton, Mississippi, two nieces, Elizabeth Douglas of Lexington, and Martha Williams (husband Dwight) of Huntingdon. She also leaves five grand nephews.



Mary Vandell married John Wesley WILLIAMS Junior.


183. Brooksie TAYLOR. Born in 1900 in Henderson County, Tennessee. At the age of 39, Brooksie died on 4 Jan 1939. Buried in Jan 1939 in Caffey Cemetery, Henderson County, Tennessee.

Mary Ann Wilson and her mother Brooksie Taylor Wilson, died in a tornado.

Brooksie married Cecil WILSON. Born in 1897. At the age of 71, Cecil died in 1968. Buried in 1968 in Caffey Cemetery, Henderson County, Tennessee.

They had the following children:
i. Beuna.

ii. Mary Ann. Born in 1934. At the age of 5, Mary Ann died on 2 Jan 1939. Buried in Jan 1939 in Caffey Cemetery, Henderson County, Tennessee.

Mary Ann Wilson and her mother Brooksie Taylor Wilson, died in a tornado.
