"Funeral for Fred Adkin Hogan, 78, of 2120 Appleby Sand Road will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. in Cason Monk Chapel with Interment in Pleasant Hill Cemetery.Officiating will be Dr. Allen Reed, pastor of First Baptist Church, and Rev Mark Price, of First Bapstist Church. Mr. Hogan died Monday, Jan. 26, in Medical Center Hospital. Born July 27, 1908, in Mahl, he was the son of Edmund and Mary Ann McCuistion Hogan. He was a farmer, lived his lifetime in the county, and attended First Baptist Church. Surviving are a brother, Robert R. Hogan of Clarksville, and five sisters, Inice Hogan Porter of Engleside, Frauline and Geneva Hogan Pulsipher of Nacogdoches, Margaret Hogan Beard of Carthage, and Mary Elizabeth Hogan of Lufkin. Pallbearers will be Larry Pulsipher, Tommy Christian, Joe Beard, Jr., Eddie Rosenberger, Ken Rosenberger, Jr., Ted Hogan, Gordan Porter, and Will Christian. Cason Monk Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangments.
