56. Andrew Jackson McCUISTION Senior. Born on 30 Oct 1830 in Madison County, Alabama. At the age of 58, Andrew Jackson died in Cherokee County, Texas on 17 Nov 1888. Buried in 1888 in Old North Church Cemetery, Nacogdoches County, Texas. Andrew Jackson served Company G, 12th Regiment of Texas Volunters, CSA.

On 15 Feb 1855 when Andrew Jackson was 24, he married Julia Ann ROARK, daughter of William ROARK & Margaret REED, in Cherokee County, Texas. Buried in Selman-Roark Cemetery, Cherokee County, Texas.

They had the following children:
i. Mary M.. Born on 3 Mar 1856 in Texas. At the age of 24, Mary M. died in Cherokee County, Texas on 1 Jul 1880.

ii. James Marion. Born on 17 Jul 1858 in Texas. At the age of 2, James Marion died on 24 Oct 1860.

iii. William Roark. Born on 8 Nov 1860 in Texas. At the age of 86, William Roark died in Cherokee County, Texas on 1 Mar 1947. Buried in 1947 in Old Palestine Cemetery,Alto, Cherokee County, Texas.

On 28 Nov 1894 when William Roark was 34, he married Jennie SELMAN, in Cherokee County, Texas. Buried in Old Palestine Cemetery,Alto, Cherokee County, Texas.

57. William Samuel McCUISTION Senior. Born on 9 Nov 1832 in Madison County, Alabama. At the age of 48, William Samuel died in Nacogdoches County, Texas on 2 Oct 1881. Buried in 1881 in Old North Church Cemetery, Nacogdoches County, Texas.

William Samuel McCuistion was a Confederate veteran having served with Major Henry W. Raguet. He is listed on the muster roll of Captain James R. Arnold's Company of Infantry Riflemen, Texas militia. He was commissioned to bury Henry W. Raguet in New Mexico Terriotry after he was killed at the Battle of Glorietta.

On 6 Apr 1860 when William Samuel was 27, he first married Mary Frances BLACKSHER, daughter of James Franklin BLACKSHER & Mahala Jane SIMPSON, in Nacogdoches County, Texas.

William Samuel second married Nancy Caroline ANDERSON, daughter of William ANDERSON & Sebrina SPLAWN. Buried in Old North Church Cemetery, Nacogdoches County, Texas.

Church minutes reveal that Nancy Caroline joined Old North Chruch in October 1865 by transfer of her letter from Hamilton Church in Shelby County, Texas.

They had the following children:
i. Robert A.. Born on 1 Jan 1866 in Nacogdoches County, Texas. Robert A. died in Comanche, Oklahoma.

Robert A. married Ellen ?.

105 ii. Thomas Lewis (1867-1889)
iii. William Samuel. Born on 8 Mar 1870 in Nacogdoches County, Texas. At the age of 48, William Samuel died in Butte, Montana on 12 Nov 1918. Buried in 1918 in Old North Church Cemetery, Nacogdoches County, Texas. Cause of death: Died in a mine in Butte, Montana.

vii. Holloway Leander. Born in 1879 in Nacogdoches County, Texas. Holloway Leander died in San Antonio, Bexar County, Texas.


58. Sarah Elizabeth McCUISTION. Born on 2 Jan 1836 in Alabama. At the age of 62, Sarah Elizabeth died on 18 Nov 1898.

On 19 Dec 1853 when Sarah Elizabeth was 17, she married Edward Mitchell WEATHERLY, son of Job WEATHERLY & Lucinda PARMLEY, in Nacogdoches County, Texas. Buried in Old North Church Cemetery, Nacogdoches County, Texas.

Edward is buried in Old North Cemetery, Nacogdoches County, Texas. He was a Confederate Veteran having served in Company H., 4th Regiment of Texas Cavalry. He was captured 14 April 1863 at Indian Bend, Louisiana.

iii. Mary B.. Born on 4 Mar 1859 in Nacogdoches County, Texas. At the age of 8, Mary B. died in Nacogdoches County, Texas on 21 Jan 1868. Buried in 1868 in Old North Church Cemetery, Nacogdoches County, Texas. Alias/AKA: "Mollie".

iv. Lucinda. Born on 8 Oct 1861 in Nacogdoches County, Texas. At the age of 4, Lucinda died in Nacogdoches County, Texas on 11 Jan 1866. Cause of death: Died from complications after been scalded with hot coffee.

On 29 Aug 1894 when Olivia was 21, she married Ellis J. HUNT, son of Samuel W. HUNT & Cyllistine RICHARDSON, in Nacogdoches County, Texas. Buried in Old Palestine Cemetery,Alto, Cherokee County, Texas.

ix. James Marion. Born on 5 May 1877.


59. James Marion McCUISTION. Born on 14 Nov 1844 in Marshall County, Mississippi. At the age of 86, James Marion died in Nacogdoches County, Texas on 11 Jul 1931.

James Marion married Sarah POWER (113) , daughter of James W. POWER (62) (1826-1910) & Julia Elizabeth TINDALL (70). Born in Oct 1847. Alias/AKA: "Sallie".

60. John Franklin McCUISTION. Born on 4 Jan 1847 in Madison County, Mississippi. At the age of 84, John Franklin died in Nacogdoches County, Texas on 9 Jul 1931. Buried in 1931 in Old North Church Cemetery, Nacogdoches County, Texas.

On 9 Jan 1867 when John Franklin was 20, he first married Louisa Jane COON, daughter of Ephriam COON & Nancy Keziah ?, in Nacogdoches County, Texas. Buried in Old North Church Cemetery, Nacogdoches County, Texas.

They had the following children:
i. Edwin Marion. Born on 14 Mar 1866.

ii. Ida. Born on 17 Mar 1870 in Texas.

iii. Anna. Born on 1 Jul 1872.

On 8 Apr 1897 when John Franklin was 50, he second married Martha WILBURN, in Nacogdoches County, Texas.
