Obituary: Beloved Woman Dies at Wildersville: Mrs. Rachel Milam Carnal, daughter of William and Tabitha Milam, died May 3rd, 1939, aged 87 years. She was married in January 1870 to James I. Carnal, who preceded her to the grave 14 years ago. To this union were born five children, three dying in infancy. One daughter, Mrs. Josie Carnal Walker, died December 3, 1909, the other daughter, Mrs. W.F. Tuten (Willie), of Wildersville, survives; also four grandchildren, Dennis Walker of Huntingdon, Clyde Walker of Wildersville, Mrs. L.F. (Pattie) Stroupe of Grand Junction and Mrs. Hobart (Josie Lee) Childress of Santa Fe, Tennessee; and one brother, J.H. Milam of Fulton, Kentucky. Mrs. Carnal reared a niece, Mrs. Ida Milam Fryer, who made her home with Mr and Mrs. Carnal and was loved and cared for as their daughter. She also leaves three grandchildren, Clyde, Jamie and Pattye and one great-granddaughter, Lannita Robbins. Mrs. Carnal moved to Wildersville about 30 years ago from Yuma and her home is known as the "Hotel". She kept the travelers and they came here from far and near to eat and sleep as she put the best on her table and furnished good beds. The Old Knights of the Grip who are living today will recall the good days and nights spent in Wildersville with Mr. and Mrs. Carnal. Mrs. Carnal obeyed the gospel at Yuma in 1906 under the preaching of C.M. Cleaves and remained a faithful member of the Church of Christ until her death. Funeral services were held in the Church of Christ and conducted by Elder J.B. Austin of Scotts Hill. The body was laid to rest under a profusion of beautiful flowers in the Jones Cemetery. Josie married Robert Lee WALKER, son of Levi H. WALKER (1823-1876) & Nancy Bryant DOUGLAS (1840-1911). Born in 1872 in Carroll County, Tennessee. At the age of 76, Robert Lee died in 1948. Buried in 1948 in Jones Cemetery, Wildersville, Henderson County, Tennessee. Resided in District 14, Carroll County, Tennessee in 1900. Resided in First District, Henderson County, Tennessee in 1930. Resided in Wildersville, Henderson County, Tennessee in 1943. They had the following children:
